is it a "finalized" charge or a "pending" charge? Most all sites will run your card in a pending status initially but the only site I ever ordered from that charged your card before shipment was FAMILY VIDEO (which I will never order from again....)

All joking aside you're right Scream is a bargain, and I'm really looking forward to their up coming releases.
lol, I just finally bit the bullet and placed my first TWILIGHT order... I do feel that the pricing is out of line (which is why I laugh when people complain about catalog titles being anything over $10 half the time...) but I guess sometimes if you really want a title, you just have to pay for it.

I was curious as to how often SF announces new films they will be working on? Is it roughly every 3-4 months?

It's usually 3 or so every month. For example, this month we got Evilspeak, Final Exam, and Phantom.

I've been thinking that they might announce something, either on New Year's Day, or at some point this week, since it'll be the start of 2014.

Or if not this week, then maybe next week.

I'm hoping for some pre 1975 horror titles, but I guess that's wishful thinking.

I'm pretty sure I know what two titles you are hoping for...

I hope for Shock Treatment and The Fly II.

Last Man on Earth is PD, so it is very very unlikely. Pretty sure that House That Screamed is too.
Also, we are under the impression that the MGM deal is through. Unless we see otherwise, they are out of the question.
But Fox titles are fair game...

I disagree. There have been rumors that another MGM deal is going down and another Vincent Price collection is likely ("once the contracts are signed"), plus they also mentioned recently that SQUIRM was in the radar. HOUSE THAT SCREAMED is not PD, and Shout! Factory is releasing it (through Timeless on DVD) as part of a disc with three other titles. Hopefully they'll consider a special edition for Blu-ray.

Exactly that. Rumors. Until we see concrete evidence, I would not be guessing any more MGM titles. That is just me though.
House was something I was confused about, as it was in several Mill Creek sets as well as these Shout sets. Also, just because it is in a Timeless set does not mean that it is not PD. In fact, I believe that Screaming Skull, which is PD is on the same set.

I wish I could say what I know on the MGM front but I can't. And just because a movie is PD doesn't mean they won't release it. HOUSE THAT SCREAMED is not PD though.

Also, why did Fox not, in the early days of DVD, make a De Palma set with Carrie, The Fury, Phantom, Dressed to Kill, and Blow Out? I would have bought that in an instant. But now all of them have releases on BD, through several companies with varying amounts of features. Just a thought of their wasted opportunity.

Speaking of which, Criterion should upgrade Sisters soon.

DRESSED TO KILL, CARRIE and BLOW OUT are with MGM. Fox did not start distributing their titles until 2007.
