My son and I went to the late Sunday showing---it was great. Only about 20 people in a theater made for 250 and everyone was into the movie!

The whole movie I kept saying to my son, "This is going to look so awesome on blu-ray!"

Not being smart here, but does Guru mean mod? Some guru kept messing with my poll earlier and I was not happy about it. Also, I wasn't as impressed with this movie like many others but will still no doubt pick it up the day of only because I have a Bludiction.

No, Guru >< Mod. And I didn't call myself a Guru either. But this forum has been restructured so that DISCUSSIONS ABOUT MOVIES THAT HAS YET TO BE ANNOUNCED ON BD MUST BE EITHER IN THE MOVIE DISCUSSION FORUM OR THE BLU-RAY WISHLIST FORUM.

The more people understand that, the less work the mods will have to do.

I'm going to see it tonight with some friends.
Tonight I am looking forward to getting my chair kicked while everyone yells at the screen and answers their cell phones while my hair sticks to the back of the seat.

I am ACTUALLY looking forward to the Blu Ray release.
I'm still stuck on that thread earlier about that story that said we are all fools for being into BluRay. If BluRay is wrong...I don't EVER wanna be right again.

(Stands Up)
My name is Lucy Diamond:
I am a fool and I have supported Blu Ray since day one.
I bought a player that is now outdated and I have a PS3

and no...

I am NOT sorry!!!

Long live the Blu World Order!!!

Did anyone else notice a few, brief, heavy-grain scenes? Most of them were at night or in the cave/dark. I have never seen something like that during a film at the theater. There was this jarring jump to heavy grain and then back again. I hope that it was just the print we were watching (there were lots of scratches on it too unfortunately) and it won't make it to the BD.

I will see this again in theaters just to make up for the audience, not to mention that this was a movie on opening day and it was already dirty! I wonder of they roll them on the floor before putting them in the projector...

digital theater next time.
Dude I saw it in digital on Saturday and it was AWESOME!!
Even most of the little sh8t-machines there kept quiet

Your post reminds me of going to see Pirates Curse of the Black Pearl though.
There were two young girls and a guy 2 rows behind my brother and I around 14-15 years old. 20 minutes into the movie and they were just yapping and yapping away. My brother politely asked them to be quiet while the movie was playing. 2 minutes later they were talking again.

I friggin' had ENOUGH!!!

I got up and sat right up on the back of my chair so my ass was where the head goes. I was COMPLETELY in their way.

The older lady in the row between theirs and mine leant forward and said "excuse me I don't think these young kids can see"

I said quite quickly and loudly, "Oh that's okay they're not watching the movie anyway, they're too busy chatting and ruining everyone else's movie experience"

She leaned back into her seat without another word. One of the young girls said "you could have just asked us to stop talking instead of being rude about it"

I said "my brother asked you politely ten minutes ago to stop and it didn't make a difference. When I hear that you've stopped talking, I'll sit back down in my chair"

They were immediately quiet, I sat back down about 10 seconds later, they were quiet the rest of the movie.

I saw this movie on friday when it was released, and WOW!! The best Marvel movie in my opinion released yet. I cannot wait for this on BD. The movie theatre I was at was just build and you can clearly tell they are using the best projector you can the clarity was the best I have seen on a movie screen ever. True 1080p, no doubt about it.

This on Blu would really kick ass, though I was lucky to attend a full theater that was well behaved. But damn if I had the worst seats in the house (by the wall where the banister covered part of the screen).

Wow! much respect dude. In my town, you'd have to worry about a gunshot wound to the back.

You're so lucky! It stinks being a teenager; my friends will invite me to the rowdy movie theater, and if I do not go, they constantly make fun of me, and say the theater is better than a Blu-ray! Plus, they're the obnoxious ones, I actually have respect for the other people enjoying the movie, like everyone else on this forum does, while they text and constanty open their phones. I can not wait to get Iron Man on Blu-ray, though.

Default The Hot Spot!!!

I went to see it tonight and was expecting the usual annoying John Q Public theater experience.

What I got was worse.

Nobody talked...no annoying children...nobody got up...nobody kicked my chair and there was not a cell to be found..

So what could be worse then that???

The F'n HOT SPOT THAT'S WHAT!!!

(DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HOW SHITTY IT SOUNDED)

There was this ONE parTICular SUPER SUPER SU-Freakin-PER Bright spot...RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GOD DAMNED SCREEN!!!!

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!

I don't know what it is?? A rip...a clean spot...something on the projector...it utterly screwed my experience, but it was still a great movie.

I can't wait to have this Blu, on tap, so I can get a BETTER picture and some freakin sound imaging...at home!!!

Honestly...movie theaters are officially for people who don't like movies all that much...that's what I think, because no one around me like the movie and no one around me noticed anything.

Great movie though...I'm totally tossing out a batch to Gwyneth later...she looked awesome in a really classy old hollywood fashion.
