I think he meant "what type" as in HDMI, Speaker wire, Optical, Component, etc.

and for the price, what does it matter? They should all have a good connection, and both will probably have a bad one here or there.

I voted Blue Jeans, but I've never bought a cable from Monoprice. I've always gotten great service from Blue Jeans and their cables are built like a brick s***house.

I have been using Audioquest cables for years, nevr got a bad cable and the connections (any type) are some of the best I have ever seen.
HDMI's are snug with out being so tight you cant get them out, ditto for all the RCA connections. The Optical have always been flawless.
My only issue with Audioquest is there Premade speaker cables, I do not like the Bananna ends they use. They seem to loosen too easily although it is simple to spread them a bit for retightening.

My bad, I'm so used to dealing with HDMI, I forgot about the others.
