can i use the us firmware 1.5 to a pal region bd-p1000?

i did it.i put again 1.3 with the same results.no bluray again.the strange thing is that the player plays the disk you put inside exacly 1 time after this you can't start another disk or the same one.i had this result after i put 1.3,it was the same both times.
