In terms of import 3D Blu-rays, there is a Zavvi steelbook:

http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/frozen-.../10876045.html

and regular on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Frozen-3D-Bl...A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Are the UK releases really region free? I'm asking because they say region B and that is not always accurate. It doesn't appear that the US is getting a 3D release of this, so I may just import.

The Zavvi Steelbook is Region B.
The Amazon.com.uk one is Region Free.

No, they're both region free. They're using the exact same discs. Zavvi only puts 'Region B' as a precaution.

Default Best Buy dropped Pice to $44.95

I think its clear BestBuy has the exclusive. They did this same thing with Final Destination 5 3D. Same price, you couldn't get it anywhere else.

Default Pirating Made Easy

Not advocating it by any means but these huge companies wonder why people pirate their stuff when they leave the consumer no alternatives. Guaranteed the day the 3d version is supposed to come out you will have many options to choose from on one of those pirate sites.

Thanks Disney!

Thanks Disney!
I wouldn't Blame anyone.. however if Disney never releases a 3D version ANY where.. its kind of hard to pirate it.. it just wont exist. At least it appears UK will get a region free 3D Blu-ray of Frozen. I remember when Sharknight 3D was released on Blu-ray.. USA version was only 2D.. well my wife is a HUGE shark movie fan. The only 3D version was UK Region B... So I was forced to buy that.. swap the region code in my PC Blu-ray burner. Rip it and strip the Region code, and burn to a blank Blu-ray disc. I already happen to own a Blu-ray burner and the SlySoft ANYDVD software.. but they forced me to make a Legal backup disk in order for me to enjoy it in 3D... I just don't get the studios..... Where the heck is StarWars Ep I 3D or Beowulf? UGH.... sorry for the rant!

I'm with you. Trust me... you can go to any of these pirate sites and find Frozen 3D the day its released. Wether its from the UK or somewhere else. These damn companies make everyone jump through hoops and are shocked when people "steal" their stuff.

Unreal.

I just used the link too. If we all used half the time communicating the issue to Disney as we did following this thread, we just might make a small semblance of a difference to someone out there

I am all for communication with Disney.. however its a bit premature.. when we still don't know if its NOT going to be available in 3D, its still 2 months away and Best Buy's link is still accepting pre-orders with it priced exactly where other Best Buy exclusive 3D movies have been in the past.

I just want to point out just because a release says region free doesnt mean the 3D bluray disc will be.
point in case Ice age 4 I picked up a cheaply priced uk import at ameoba records locally and while the 2D disc was region free and the package said region free the 3D disc was infact locked to region B.
So i had to purchase the 3D disc seperately.

Also amazon listings are known to change point in case the Jungle book box set.
it said region free the whole time leading up to its release.
then when it shipped it suddenly dropped from the listing.
when my copy arrived, the original jungle book was region locked B&C and only the jungle book 2 was region a b c

Default Buy another player

For many enthusiasts it wouldn't be a huge deal if you just bought another player and set it to region B. You'd have to keep your discs straight though.

Except for sure most players can be modded. Much less work than another player.

So... Disney doesn't release there most popular film in ages which most of the reviews say is a must see in 3d in 3d. That makes perfect sense.

Fingers crosssed the UK version is really region free.

Well now I hope they do the same thing as Oz and let us buy the 3D disc through Disney Rewards.

A few people in the frozen thread in the main blu ray forum say they've been told by Disney customer reps that it might be coming out in the fall. Granted, I know these people usually don't know much (and sometimes, like at Gamestop, just make stuff up...) but it might be a sliver of hope.

Rumor is that they are forcing people that want 3D to use one of the craptastic streaming downloading services to get 3D. Not sure if it will be iTunes or Vudu. Sorry but they can keep their 3D with that.

No cash from me Disney for any version of Frozen until a proper 3D Blu-ray combo pack.

With all due respect....."these people"? They are the same people that are members of this site that you are a member on. There are rumors and guesses in ALL threads. Were all the same here.

Agreed. What we know from IMO, the most credible post, that Disney is making Frozen 3D media available in the U.S. via Digital 3D download as of February 25, and there is no announcement plans for a U.S. 3D-Blu-ray March 18 release. Overseas, Amazon UK appears to have a region-free Frozen Blu-ray 3D March 31, and it will be available for import to the U.S.

Pressure is definitely being put on the U.S. market by eliminating 3D-Blu-ray availability, forcing enthusiasts to import, losing Disney U.S. rewards, or give-in to Disney Digital 3D downloads.
