Default 360 To Get Blu-Ray Drive By Christmas!?!?!

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messa...80/352701.html

guy has some decent links but how do you guys feel about this? in one hand if they decide on Blu(MS) it will crush HD DVD and kill it for good, but blu-Ray is the huge thing that the ps3 has over 360. so it is a double edge sword

not true. the 360 can not play games over the add-on drives. it will only be able to play movies but not games.

I bet you it's purposely leaked rumors to keep people's faith in the x360 that it won't be obsolete so soon. Look at the x360 premium and x360 elite. Would anyone overpay for a product by 100% simply because it was from a company headquartered in the U.S.? Would you think that person is extremely stupid if they did?

Even with the Elite model and the BD drive, it pales in comparison with a PS3.

An old story (January), which turned out to be mostly a non-story. Moore quickly clarified his comments i.e. it's all strictly hypothetical.

Clarification story here: http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?op...=2053&Itemid=2

M$ would bank if they did this, because they are not selling the HD-DVD drive or at least it doesn't seem they are since there are plenty to be found.

This would be a good move on M$ to have a Blu-ray player IMO Might as well do it now then later and have many fans mad about the possible downfall of HD-DVD.
