That's right in your back yard, isn't it? That's some beautiful scenery.

I actually live just down the road from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I haven't been up there in quite a while, but it's pretty beautiful too:

A movie critic? I like it. "Froggers Phenomenal Recapitulations and Reflections." I'd buy that for a dollar.
I bought a whole roasted chicken the other day from the Walmart deli for $4.99 and some fixin's, and it lasted me a couple of days, and it was actually very good. Would've probably spent about three times that for the same amount of food from KFC. I've also had some cheddar brats too.

I really like that critic title.

Good afternoon Mr. Frog. So you stopped going to work? What bought that on? Any leads on something more rewarding?

Umm, I didn't really want to get into it too much on here, but if you really want to know:

[Show spoiler]My manager got a promotion/transfer and he was a great boss. He told me the lady that was replacing him was a complete b!tch and that along with her, we would be getting our old regional manager back too, who is also complete b!tch. He also told me confidentially that the incoming regional manager said that the first thing she wanted to do was get rid of me.

I had worked there for a year and a half, and only missed one day of work about 13 months ago because my back had gone out on me, and I let them know four hours ahead of time, and I've covered countless other shifts when other people couldn't make it and I was always on time and did my job, so I have no idea why she was out to get me.

After they took over, everything about my job completely changed and every day was a constant struggle and they made my life unbearable. I eventually told my new manager very politely that I was putting in my notice and looking for another job, and she actually told me "No". A couple of days later, when the regional manager was at our store, I asked her if I could speak to her in private for just a moment, and she said she was too busy, but that she would be back the next day and make time to talk to me. She didn't come back at all for days.

The last straw was that we have a drive-thru at the sandwich shop, and usually had one person making the sandwiches, one getting drinks, chips, cookies, etc. together and bagged up, and one person collecting money and handing out the food and drinks. For several days, they made me do all of that all by myself for hours and hours with no help whatsoever, and during the busiest part of a lunch rush, one of the owners came through the drive-thru. Instead of seeing that I badly needed help and saying something about it, I was told that he was furious with me because I had been so quick and in a hurry during the whole transaction, and the next day, they sent in an auditor to hang up signs to tell us exactly what to say and how to say it, and I was told that it was all because of my terrible attitude.

Also, the new manager was very pushy and condescending for no reason, yet she didn't even know how to do many aspects of her job, and could not even do the drive-thru at all, so I was being yelled at by someone that was simultaneously asking me to show her how to do her job.

Finally, I came home one night so stressed out about it all that I couldn't relax and the only thing I could do was constantly think of how badly I had been treated and how much I absolutely hated my job. I even started getting pretty bad chest pains and was basically having an anxiety attack. I had been telling myself that I had to wait until I had another job before I quit, but when I started having chest pains, I decided that I would be better off just not going back instead of having a heart attack.

As long as this post is, I really just touched on the major issues and it was actually a lot worse, if you can believe that.

I've been looking around a bit, but no real leads at this time.

Well it looks like you did all the right things including quitting. It is a very big shame now a days the way we are treated as dogs in our daily lives and you had every right not to put up with that crap. I hope the store goes out of business now that their best worker was forced to quit. Hang in there bro. The good karma will be heading your way real soon.

Thanks for the moral support Al. I really appreciate it!

I have another crazy story for you guys now:

I ordered Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here on blu-ray from Russia about a month ago. As it's only available here in the Immersion boxset for about $150, and since this one was only $19.99, and all of the customer feedback was very positive, I figured it was worth a try.

Well, from following the tracking, I knew that it would finally arrive yesterday, but of course after waiting and checking the mailbox several times, I remembered that it was MLK day, and checked and sure enough, the mail didn't run that day.

Therefore I knew that it would finally arrive today, so I kept checking the tracking and checked the mailbox too, but nothing. Well, just a few minutes ago my next door neighbor knocks on my door and tells me that the mailman knocked on my door and then left a note on the door that my package must be signed for in order for me to receive it. He must've knocked about as hard as a fly, because I was sitting about 15 feet from the front door with the tv turned way down, and I easily heard my neighbor knocking. The note said that I could pick it up at the post office tomorrow. I asked my neighbor "If you saw him knocking on my door, and saw him leave a note, and knew that I was at home, why didn't you tell him or me?" He said "I don't know."

I haven't drank in several days, but I already had plenty in the fridge, in anticipation of this arriving tonight, and I've been looking forward to checking this out for about a month, so I was pretty distraught.

Well, after my neighbor left, I pretty much lost it and started making up some incredible new cuss words, but I decided screw it, I'm going to go find that damned mailman, so I got in my car and started driving from one subdivision to the next, cussing up a storm the whole time. I pretty much knew it was a lost cause and that he was long gone.

Well, lo and behold, right as I was about to give up and come home, I saw a little white mail jeep with flashing lights come around the corner! I pulled up next to him and scared him to death, but I showed him the note and my ID, and thankfully it was the right guy and he had me sign and gave me my package!

Here's some bad phone pics of the case:

[Show spoiler]

You can't really tell from those terrible pics, but it looks very professional, just like a real store-bought blu-ray. Hopefully it sounds that way too! I'll know here in a few minutes.

I just finished checking out my Russian version of Wish You Were Here and it sounds great, has all of the original menus, all of the bonus content, and all three audio options too (5.1, 4.0, & 2.0) all in 24 bit / 96kHz LPCM.

Now I'm listening to my Ramones collection.

It's not that hard to find. She shows 'em off to all her friends.

Right now, I'm in an intrinsic state of bliss listening to this song:

Great song. The Trashmen are from here. There seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece.

Of the avian variety. I knew that Jimi and grunge were from Seattle, but I had no idea about The Trashmen.

Still rockin' out to my Ramones collection.

Glad you got your Pink Floyd BD!

Did you share any of your new cuss words with the mailman?
