Ok no worries. Thanks for the pictures. I've held off GoT until they release Amaray versions of all available seasons...

I kind of wish I held off buying them, I have a feeling when the series comes to end there's going to be one mighty find looking complete collection if the quality of the releases so far is anything to go by.

Yer I imagine so. I've been tempted to get the bonus discs from amazon and the HBO site bonus discs. But I just can't justify the extra wedge. S1 is the only Amaray version so far but that was in a ridiculously overprice limited edition for which I have no need.

Looking at the size of the 1-3 pack next to the single season, it looks about the same size as HBO's 1-3 set of Boardwalk Empire, which came as three amarays inside a slipbox, so I think there's a good chance.

Sweet. Thanks didn't realise BE came with amarays, I assumed they were digipacks given its HBO. Didn't the single releases of those come in amarays though?

Why did they change the spine?

How simple would it have been to have the white cover but a black spine to keep consistency with the previous releases?

The confusing thing about the photo is that the seasons 1-3 box is a lot thinner than the seasons 1-2 box!

It was a penny shy of £35 when I checked yesterday but as usual it can change by release day.

Hopefully it drops down to £30 like the first two seasons. I think it's £30 on-line.

I pre-ordered it for £25, the £5 I've saved is going to buy me a black marker pen so I can colour in the spine

lol! I preordered for £25 too, thanks to amazon's random blink-and-you'll-miss-it price drop.

We were just chatting in another thread about the fact that the BBFC seem to have rated the third season as 15.

The BBFC have got more baffling in recent times. How episode 9 of this season isn't an 18 is beyond me.
[Show spoiler]Plus Theon's torture scenes were a bit full-on at times
It seems like they think the sex in previous seasons is more offensive than the violence in this one (and this season actually seemed to cut back on the sex).

I don't care either way because I'm not easily offended, but I'm just surprised at their reasoning.

If it's any consolation, the other side of the spine is black, not a perfect match but might be a bit easier for the ocd to take

Better than nothing I suppose, I never realised I had OCD until started collecting Blu-rays

Maverick.
Is there any chance you can take a high-res photo of the back of the Season 3 box? I used a high-res scanner and photoshop to reduce my Digi-pack boxes down to Amaray size would would love to have Season 3 prepared before I buy it somewhere down the road.

Honestly, a lot of people who claim they have it don't have OCD - they just like things to match or to be neat or alphabetical. That's far from having OCD, it's just been organised.

Not having a go at you personally, it's you just read a lot on these threads "Oh, my OCD won't like that!" and you realise that that person has almost certainly never met someone with OCD or considered the severity of what the words obsessive or compulsive mean. I'm disappointed by the lack of black spine and it's sad that that sort of thing means anything to me but, despite stuff like that and having everything in alphabetical groups and sections and a very specifically organised collection, I'm far from being an OCD sufferer.
