Default Receiver & speakers help

Hi all,
Need your help with budget receiver and speakers. It's been a while since I got my set-up and don't know what's out there now. OK, here's what I'm looking for:
1) A receiver under $350 that is NOT passthrough. (I am happy with my 605 but this system is not for me and cannot be another 605.)
2) budget 5.1 set but at least 2 rear speakers must be ceiling speakers. (I can get another 2 pair of ceiling speakers for front)
3) the whole set must not be more than $700

please help. I need to order the set now and cannot be searching the net because of my pink eye (docs orders ).

little more than what you were looking for, so maybe you can use as a reference?

I'm going to say on the receiver the Sony DG720. And yes I have one and love it, but in all honestly its the only one I can even think of off the top of my head that's under $350.

Thanks guys
I was considering STRDG720 receiver so yes that seems great. As for speakers, Monoprice doesn't have them in stock and front ones cannot be floorstanding.
What about 2 pair of these http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...e=18-8783281-2
a center like Polk and a sub?

those would be nice.

But make sure you match the Center/Front L&R...the back speakers can be most anything else, but these three must be of same brand and series for optimal performance.

+1 on the STR-DG720, it's an amazing receiver for the price. I love it to death. It's super easy to setup and it's got everything you need and it's easy to use. It's most impressive, visit Sony.com for more specs on it, including a detailed pictures.

So, lets say I have 720 receiver and a pair of backs. Which center and fronts would you recommend on budget?
p.s Washing hands more often doesn't help much if you ride on subway all day long

Sony SS-CR3000 is a good budget set, it works fine on my 720, included is the center channel and two rear speakers. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SS-CR3000...0883487&sr=1-6

Otherwise the SS-CN500 is a more powerful center for $99. http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665089826

And the Sony SSB-3000 are amazing for fronts for $99. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SS-B3000-...0883487&sr=1-2

The sub is pretty powerful it works amazing with my system. I'm impressed with it. It does have an auto-off feature that can get annoying because some movies don't have a lot of bass, and it shuts off with an audible click. But that's easy to fix by just turning it on and off manually. Otherwise, it provides excellent bass for my music and movies.

Thanks man. I'm definately eyeing your receiver and sub.
Hey Crackinhedz, what you think about these polks? http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-RC8...0883778&sr=8-2
I could get two pair of these, Rabidhunter's sub and a center that you are going to recommend (This? http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Cha...884435&sr=1-13 )
