Cameron? You mean James Cameron? Because James Cameron is not a good writer.

But what does the chart have to do with James Cameron as a writer? He only wrote one of 'em.

I finally got the BD and just saw some of the deleted scenes. They should have worked with axe scenen instead of what they kept. I loved that she fought back and at the same it pays homage to the shining.

Even if the inclusion of this stuff wouldn't suddenly make it a great film, it would make it a better and slightly more coherent in my opinion. And after discussing it with people over the past year and a half, I'm convinced a little coherence can go a long way when it comes to Prometheus. |

As for Prometheus... Amazing film. Top 5 Sci Fi. It leaves so many questions on purpose... Sequels ![]() Last edited by manunited1; 02-26-2014 at 09:50 PM. |

2001 is an example "leaving questions unanswered and up to individual interpretation" done perfectly and has people still analyzing it 46 years later and it will be discussed for decades to come which will NOT happen with Prometheus. 2001 leaves questions unanswered in a calculating way because kubrick and clarke knew it would be way more effective to let you arrive at your own answers instead giving them to you, prometheus just did it because its lazy and ridley scott wanted another pay day, he probably didn't even know the answers is most likely the reason so many things were open to interpretation, not because he's some genius. I was so pumped for this movie, I wanted to love it, the cinematography was gorgeous and it had lots of potential and it just completely falls flat.

I couldn't get into this movie at all! I've tried watching it all the way through a couple of times, to no avail. I'm just going to lay all the cards on the table! Prometheus was tedious, nonsensical, boring and slow. It's an insult for Prometheus to be allegedly correlated to the Alien franchise.. I am not a person, who easily gets lured into all the overly hype, and inordinate advertising of promoting big budget, blockbuster movies, and automatically thinking it's a great film, but in reality, the movie is a hot mess.
