That's so freakin weird. I thought they said they couldn't get the rights to the DVD. Did they aquire the DVD rights with this new MGM deal? Why not get something else, more rare? Pretty puzzling...

Editorial Reviews
2/25/14*Note from Timeless Media Group*due to unforseen issues with House that Screamed, we are making this even better by adding The Vampire Lovers to this release*
THE VAMPIRE LOVERS (1970)- A female vampire ravages the young girls and townsfolk of a peaceful hamlet in eighteenth century Europe who, years earlier, killed off her fellow vampires. A rousing hunt for the vampiress ensues as a group of men follow her bloody trail of terror through the countryside. Starring Ingrid Pitt, George Cole and Peter Cushing.
THE BAT PEOPLE (1974)- The bite of a bat causes an idealistic doctor to begin a horrifying transformation into a half man, half bat creature-and no one is safe from his rampage.
THE SCREAMING SKULL (1958) A recently married woman begins to believe that she s losing her mind in this spooky thriller.
THE VAMPIRE (1957) Another unfortunate doctor has a bad run in with bats in this sci-fi flavored horror. After mistakenly ingesting some pills made from bat s blood, the good doctor finds himself turning into a terrifying creature of the night.

Am I wrong to say I knew Lord of Illusions would be next?

It's not. Scream have said this one is coming in the Fall, not August.

I read somewhere , probably Facebook , about them having Return of Count Yorga but I really don't know how valid that is. But at the same time I also read that they have neither Count Yorga film. As far as Im concerned nothing is really *official* until Scream or Shout Factory announce it on their page. Its too bad about LOI leaking....and hope that they will announce it probably earlier than they wanted to
You bolded my biggest wants too!
It would have been fantastic to have those 4 on blu-ray!

About to watch Trapped Ashes, co-directed by company favorite Joe Dante and father of Friday the 13th Sean S. Cunningham.

Ehh. Just started Dante's wraparound segment, and damn. It is such a quality drop (feels direct to video) aside from the late Henry Gibson.

I really hope they release the directors cut of LORD OF ILLUSIONS now that theyve announced its coming. I decided to skip the UK bluray because the DC would be dvd only.

I'd be down for Pumpkinhead, Monkey Shines and Blacula.

Leviathan's kind of a fun movie, it's a great cast and effects in service of a moronic story. I might pick up Monkey Shines depending on the extras, I tend to love making-of docs when Romero's involved, but I don't really have much interest in the movie itself :/ I remember getting freaked out by the VHS box when I was a little kid though!

I would love it if Scream released this, it makes a nice double feature with Saturn 3.

Look at the first post on The Lord of Illusions thread. Barker has confirmed that it will be both.

I was just going off of what Scream Factory just said which was that its too early to know which cuts will be included. If Barker said that then ill hold out hope.

I'm about to watch an anthology myself, Screamtime.

Just out of curiosity, do you listen to the Bloodcast podcast on geeknation? They just did an episode on anthologies the other day and it got me in the mood for some of them. Watched both V/H/S films yesterday and I'm gonna knock out Tales from the Hood and the already mentioned Screamtime tonight.

With a another new (and impromptu) Title announced time to once again update the poll, since it was updated less than 3 days ago, only about 22 new titles have been added to the list, and also the ranking for the Title announced

Lord of Illusions (1995) 14 Votes was 156th

Keep on Voting Link is in the sig

Better movie, I think so... but the movie is already on blu ray !
Could they have picked something else ? I dont know but the MGM library is huge. I would have gone for Return of the Vampire as that is paired with The Vampire in the MGM Midnite movie DVD..Anyway Timeless DVDs are more or less crappy image quality, even though I do own some, their quality leaves much to be desired in the age remastering and blu ray technology. I know that they are budget releases but Id shell out more money if they took the time to make them look better..

Well, I just finished. It was better than I was expecting. Cunningham's was the only bad segment to me (not being a fan of Anime). Dante's was rather bland though, despite Gibson's good performance. Ken Russell, who I am not a fan of, had the second best segment, as it was a bizarre mess. The best by far was the one with John Saxon playing the filmmaker.

Nice. I watched that about a week ago. Overall it was alright. I had high hopes for the third part but it ended up being my least favorite.
