I mean I know the Elite cases have been getting thinner and thinner from them, but I still thought they made "regular" cases without cutouts or depressed sections--just really thin now.

The info I posted was my understanding of the post from the Twilight Time owners on a different forum.

There's no guarantee at all that third party sellers have to ship in two days...no matter what anyone states .
The sellers on Amazon have a lot more to worry about then the buyers on Amazon when talking about Third Party Marketplace Sellers. What you stated above is correct, it does hurt their metrics if they don't "mark" it shipped within two days, but they are under no obligation to actually ship, they just need to say they shipped.

Ordered Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and Crimes and Misdemeanors the second they went up for sale. They shipped to me on February 11th. It's just under a month later and still no sign of them. My electronic shipping said to expect delivery on or about the 6th, which was yesterday. I've never had a shipment from them take longer than their expected delivery date. Even when they were using the extremely slow postage I had my order by now.

If it has happened to go missing I guess i'm screwed as I refuse to pay another $15 just to ensure my products I pay premium for actually show up.

I really miss the cart game...with all these deals going on with other labels and wondering if I spend money on other labels like Arrow and than a TT title I've been waiting on to purchase sells out...I'll really be bummed!

Decisions...decisions...

The Black cases are cool! - it would give us a break from all the Blue/Teal/color drained art work used on all the covers these days

I miss it too. It was fun and kept my obsessive collector side satisfied. It also indirectly helped keep TT movies in my mind as potential purchases. Now the urgency of purchases has diminished. All that's left is my actual desire to own a particular movie, which is certainly important, but that urgency, coupled with the need to buy multiple to get signed promo, was often what pushed me over into actually buying a title. I guess that's better for my wallet, but doesn't seem better for TT's bottom line.

The "cart game" was definitely helping to drive sales on the faster moving titles. People start panicking when quantities go below 1000 and 500 units. I know I've ordered Twilight Time BDs when the counter started getting lower.

I agree, I would prioritize my purchases based on the number remaining.

Has anyone bothered to let Twilight Time and Screen Archives know about what the loss of the 'cart game' means to their REDUCING their purchasing of Twilight Time products?

Discussing it here does nothing (except increase everyone's irritability about the situation and SAE in general). Sharing it directly with them - and Twilight Time, who likely wish to sell their products - via e-mail might get it reinstated (or possibly something better, like an 'active count' on the item page begun).

I think not having the cart game benefits TT/SA in a way. If people don't know a title isn't selling well they might think it is selling well. There for they buy a copy as soon as possible because they have no idea when the title will sell out.
I also think it helps with scalpers. If people don't know an item is selling fast, they might not want to buy multiple copies in hopes of making a profit. I really curious to see if Used Cars will sell out fast with not having the cart game to verify the amount of copies left.

I am preordering Used Cars day one even though it might take longer to ship since SA does not ship in order. I am not chancing on that selling out and having to pay ridiculous inflated prices on Ebay for it.

I was surprised today. I picked up a copy of Anchor Bay's edition of The Grandmaster, which came out this week, and it was not in an eco-case.

Anybody who thinks the loss of the cart came somehow effects Twilight Time's sales is delusional.

The great thing about the Blu-ray.com forum is that there are enough people here to generate the critical mass necessary for a lot of good discussions about various Blu-rays.

The unfortunate side effect of having so many people is the silly fringe discussions about fundamentally goofy subjects which are of no significance outside of this forum.

In the entire world, there are probably about ten people who are really upset that they can't play the cart game. And I'm betting they are all posting in this thread.

I missed out on the cart game fun, but I see it still works for stock lower than 50 units. Of course, if there is no limits on quantities, then that low level "cart game" is almost worthless as the scalpers will clean it up before anyone can blink.

It was fun though watching it for Sinbad, as it took over a day I think to get from 50 to zero, plenty of time. So that's why I think they should limit purchases to one per customer (ie, everyone but the scalpers), as soon as a low stock threshold is reached, so that the average Joe has a decent heads up. If the scalpers want in, then they need to get in earlier while there are no limits.

The titles that AB distribute for the Weinstein Company usually don't come in eco cases, from what I've seen.

SAE at their site, and TT on Facebook will always continue to announce when any title is down to "500 remaining" but as the "cart-game" is now disabled by SAE, not just for TT, but for all labels and titles in their very large inventory, this is just a brief guide to the next batch reaching the sell-out stage:

AS GOOD AS IT GETS (about 600 left)
THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES (about 600 left)
BYE BYE BIRDIE (about 700 left)
LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN (about 800 left)
THE DRIVER (about 850 left)
HARD TIMES (about 900 left)

THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT and BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA are moving briskly with more than half of the stock gone on both already -- so if you have any interest in these two, time is running short.

You heard it here!

Thanks!!! An update like this every once in a while is really just as good as the cart game. Maybe not in live time, but it definitely helps where to prioritize.

With both Sinbads they limited it. 3 at first and then 1 per person.
