Default Blu Rays with Questionable Color Timing

The purpose of this thread is simply to discuss blu ray releases that have or 'may have' adjusted color timings different than he original release of the film.

I am not talking about obviously intentional color alterations made by the director or colorist ... I am talking about transfer errors.

I was watching 'The Towering Inferno' tonight and the opening titles seem to have been shifted to the green side of yellow .. I recall them being more on the warm side.

The original release of The French Connection comes to mind. Luckily, Friedkin fixed it with the re-release.

You're about to bring all of the 1990 NotLD TT release haters out of the woodwork. Good luck!

Subscribed. The problem is many of the studios will claim director intended but some are still questionable.

I think this is why people dislike The Dark Knight trilogy releases.

Misery ... The reds seem more on the purple side than the original release.

Jesus that's terrible. That movie has been crapped on in home video forever it seems like.

I think I might be one of the few who prefers the original release. The bad color and excessive grain works so well with the grittiness of the film.

THE MATRIX and THE RING have both undergone major shifts from a blue tone to a green one.

If you ready my original post you'd see I want this thread to exclude intentional color timing changes.

What's astounding is that the transfer is so dark as to obscure some onscreen text that was meant to be seen.

Whilst The Godfather is quite spectacular, it is a tad too dark for my liking.

I really hope for a new transfer on this. It's one of my favourite films.
