Guessing they backloaded the contract like crazy, it's the only way that would make sense.

If you really want someone..you can make it work really no matter what. Always ways around the cap to get someone you want.

Ridiculous they got him for that. I know there are ways to work around it, but I was under the assumption Byrd wanted to be the highest paid safety.

Say what? I said it days ago....was never healthy when we needed him. And paying a guy that much $$ with issues? If the pats gave him that contract i would have been pissed

lol the hit ratio on great players isn't good to begin with relying on a single draft to be the benchmark for you is equally dumb as buying all big name FA and thinking it'll be cohesive.
