Oh and I'm not buying another set of instruments. I don't care how "amazing" they are.
good call on that. I wish game companies would understand we want to buy their games but not pay more than twice the price of the game to get all the damn accessories.

Whether this is bad for HMX is arguable at this point. However, there's no doubt it's going to be good for the consumer. I'm banking on GH4 being a quality product in hopes that it will push Rock Band to an even greater level.

HMX is already churning out DLC every week; just think what they're going to have to do to compete if Activision starts doing the same thing. Like I said, it's all going to be good for the consumer.

I'm eager to see where all of this customization goes. That kind of depth is something I've always liked about certain games, but I'm not sure how much it will bring to a game of this nature. All in all, it's early in the development process and we'll have to wait and see if Activision is really able to compete on the level of HMX.

Argh! Why now after I already hate the f***ing franchise?!?

Screw it though. Petrucci's guitar work is hard enough on a real guitar; I wouldn't want to imagine trying to pull it off on that plastic thing. Last thing I want is for GH4 to ruin DT for me.

if you think about it.. buying guitar hero 4 will be just like buying more dlc for rockband. it will likely have 80+ songs and at rockband pricing that 1.99 each.. and i know the guitar hero 4 dlc will be 49.99 a song.. but my point is if you all like to buy the dlc its almost paying for itself with the new songs
