Needful Things is crying out for a Scream Factory release. It one of the best Stephen King based films imo

I like hellraiser 3. I think part 1 is the best but 3 really needs a blu ray release. The idea of a demon statue ending up in your art collection and being sweet talked into giving it whatever it wants (human sacrifice) is a great idea.

I think everything after 3 isn't really worth watching. At least 4 is a real hellraiser movie (not that it's any good).

I remember it being reported the film ran into a lot of problems while in production and then just prior to distribution. Whole segments were cut from the film - one with the actor Kenneth Tobey (the star of the original 1950's version of THE THING) where he portrays a priest. I really like that film it had an epic air, like to was from a very long novel - it had so much to tell.
It would been really nice if a restoration was done.

This was such an underrated movie, and it's worth the price of admission for the scene where the characters are escaping through an underwater cave and having to survive by breathing in the tiny air bubbles on the roof of the cave.

Unlike most movies of the sort, the characters here, played by Josh Duhamel, Olivia Wilde, and Melissa George, are genuinely likeable, and they seem like the type of vacationers with whom I'd actually enjoy hanging out during a trip. I love how the villain had a sympathetic angle by way of the cause that he was representing, and it was a surprisingly multilayered approach.

John Stockwell is a pretty decent action/surf/horror/adventure director, and his style gives Turistas a lively groove.

Can I get a witness?

I caught Turistas in theaters. I still really dig it. Probably not Scream Factory's style, but I would be all for it. The movie is definitely worthy of the blu-ray upgrade.

Today was a fun movie day - it was a revisit days of a couple of movies I havent seen in ages
Rawhead Rex - now Id love to see this get a blu ray release - Im settling for a the Prism import since the Pioneer DVD is way too much
Phantom of Paradise...I thought I saw this before but I remembered nothing about it - and Im glad I watched it - I loved the musical #s and Paul Williams as Swan ..Im looking forward to the Blu Ray of these from Scream Factory
Sisters it made more sense this time around...I know Scream wont get this but it's a good movie Id recommend to horror fans. It is kinda sorta a mild slasher with a knife murder.
Freddy vs Jason I enjoyed this only for all the fight scenes with Freddy and Jason..lots of gore. No it's not a great film but still mindless fun - a guilty pleasure of mine

A 35 mm print apparently exists and was supposed to have been screened last year at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles.

I doubt Shout would be able to secure that massive (half) catalog. But maybe they could just pick out some of the gems.

Oh that's right... They have a style. Between the classics, Chiller films, retro cult classics, and 90s/Y2K horror titles, I guess I forgot.

Wow. That's surprising to say the least. I figured at the most, the film would have to be pieced together. Thanks for the info and link! That is definitely some good news and could really save a company a lot of work.
