Of course these get announced a week after I ordered Vertigo and Rear Window from the UK. That's ok because they were $24 shipped, and I have no interest in the digital copies. The cover art on these suck. The UK editions are better, but not by much and the rating logos suck. I have some awesome customs of the original poster art from a generous member here ready to go.

I would assume the original mono track will be included on Vertigo, which is not on the UK edition.

Except the discs arrive all scratched up and with glue on them… no thanks, I will pay for the individual releases.

I would agree with you, but the only issue for me is shelf space. It saves a lot of space to have the packaging for the collection over 15 individual cases. Well, that and cost of course.

Custom artwork and cases isn't an option for everyone either.

In for all three, but especially in for Rear Window and The Birds! Nostalgia factor here as well...tremendous excitement surrounding these releases to the point that they very quickly became cultural icons. The phrase, "...like a scene from The Birds..", still has an immediate and identifiable relevancy.

Sweet!!! About time. I did not want the mega-set and have been waiting for the final three to make their individual debuts. I have five titles (Rope, Sabotuer, The Man Who Knew Too Much, The Trouble with Harry, and Shadow of a Doubt).

Now I need to get the remaining five that are still Amazon exclusives (for some reason Amazon has the MSRPs of these exclusives listed on their website as $29.99).

Anyone know when the Amazon five get a wide release (Marnie, Torn Curtain, Topaz, Frenzy, and Family Plot)?

What happened to the pre-order for The Birds? It still says that it comes out June 3rd, but the pre-order link is gone.

I've been getting the U.S. individuals as they come out, even though I have the box. I'll sell my U.K. & Aussie versions of the 'final four' now as I want the uniform look of the U.S. spines. Yeah, the covers kinda suck, but I look at the spines much more than the covers.

I leave a picture as it was.

Since the covers of the "final four" don't have the same uniform look that the other individuals do, I wonder if the spines will match.

So glad Psycho is being re-released. I've been wanting to get it but it's been quite pricey, on Amazon at least.
