Bleeding Cool updated their story and said Fox decided to move forward with the project as is.

They stood by their original story 100%, because they said they had spoken to people who had been approached to take over the project, but who had said "No"

Word is that Fox has release dates set up for several upcoming movies, including Fantastic Four 2.

Setting a sequel date for the reboot is like whistling past a graveyard at this point. They're only fooling themselves.

If this bombs like I think it will we won't be getting any sequels lol . I never went to either of the first 2 at the theater and at least then they were trying so I for sure won't be seeing any new ones , not until this goes home .

I will admit that I enjoy the first Fantastic Four movie. It's not that bad, and I thought everyone was well cast. Silver Surfer is a different story though.

I can't say I'm excited for this one, but I will hold out a sliver of hope that it turns out good.

Kate Mara Doesn't Seem To Know Too Much About FANTASTIC FOUR

During an interview with IGN, the Transcendence actress is quizzed about her upcoming role in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot. Don't expect many details though..because she apparently doesn't know any! Mara isn't even sure if she'll be wearing a costume or not.

Aside from confirming that she's playing Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, the actress says she doesn't know much else about the role, or the movie..which shoots in a few weeks! Mara reveals that it'll be a grounded take on a superhero movie, and says she's excited to work with the cast and director Josh Trank, but that she doesn't know that much about the characters; having only picked up a few comics since she got the part. When asked if she's tried on a costume yet, she says she's not even sure there is one! Of course she may just be keeping schtum about it all, but watch the vid for yourselves anyway and see what you think.

Honestly? It's garbage films like this that made me give up most of this hobby. When you realize that nearly all movies are only released as a scattershot attempt to "throw it all at the wall and see what sticks" by studios, you know that you've been had.
