Maybe I over estimated the purchasing power of this forum. I'm surprised no titles sold out during the sale.

So it's not realistic to expect them to keep up with Fox's pre-1970 output the last two years (it's not even close), even though they have close to three times the viable titles at their disposal? All I care about is output, whether they want to do it or not. if they can't keep up with the Jones', then maybe they should enlist the help of others. After all, I had thought Warner was supposed to be the industry leader in this regard.

Again, that's not what I was discussing.

Well, and one TV show. They licensed Max Headroom -- part of their Karl Lorimar holdings -- to Shout! Factory for DVD.

Here's the thing though, this really isn't a $35 movie, it's really fun and I would watch it multiple times but throwing down $35 on it just ain't something I'd do. I can never justify buying a Twilight Time disc cause I "like" it, I really have to "love" it. That being said though, never say never I guess, I would like to hear the commentary track. Aside from the naughty side of "Flight" I've never really seen a Robert Zemeckis that was as vulgar as "Used Cars" is, some nudity too.

Also while watching this for some reason I couldn't help but think of how good Kurt Russell could've played 'Han Solo.' Twilight Time maybe a real blunder though by not using the full original poster art with the girl holding the sign and only focusing on the lemon, the Twilight Time artwork gives off a weird vibe, feels too polished.
I am a big Kurt Russel, John Carpenter, Robert Zemeckis fan. Since Used Cars isn't available on Bluray anywhere else on Earth to me it is worth $35.00 dollars. Listening to the Big Trouble in Little China Town commentary with Russel, he talks about how Used Cars, Overboard, and Big Trouble in Little Chinatown were all box office flops.

He then says how in the future they all became cult favorites ontop of his popular films like Escape From New York and The Thing. All those movies I listed are to me the five best Kurt Russel films. I really want Used Cars to complete my list of his favorite movies. You said it yourself you would watch Used Cars multiple times. I feel the same way and the same goes for the other four films.

To me that already makes it worth 35 dollars. Not to mention that its probably going to sell out before the three year window. I don't even really like Christine that much but it really pisses me off I could of owned a copy for $35 dollars. Now that its $90 dollars or more on Ebay I will never own it. Don't let that happen to you with Used Cars, specially since its a movie you actually like.

I agree it's not realistic to expect them to enter into a licensing agreement with TT (or anyone else). I don't have any hopes of it, just that they release more of their older titles than they have lately.

I don't care about winning or losing debates, but rather just gaining insight from them. But for those who enjoy that "victory", more power to them.

Let's see here...

On February 19, I placed an order for All the King's Men, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, and Bonjour Tristesse.

On March 19, I placed an order for Swamp Water and both of the Flint movies. Yesterday, on March 24, I placed an order for Cover Girl.

Today, I received a shipping notice for Swamp Water. It's interesting that this title is shipping out before all of the others.

At least I'm getting one of the most intriguing choices sent to me first.

Yeah, I do love the charm "Used Cars" has. I loved Jack Warden in this and especially in "Problem Child" he played comedy straight like very serious and it made it all the more hilarious. Considering Twilight Time doesn't have anything as of now that I'm interested in until they release "The Blob" I might just might get this. I just really really hate the cover art they went with, I hope someone makes a good custom artwork using the original full poster.

Took me a few tries to get past the beginning, but once I did, I pretty much enjoyed it. I'll probably go for it.

Placed a couple orders on Wed. The bigger one shipped first, the smaller one shipped the next day. Maybe they're shipping by size of order this time, largest to smallest.
