Seagal will likely never appear in an expendables film he has been offered a part in all of them so far and has turned them all down.

I also heard that it's more that he has grudge against Avi Lerner.

That's exactly what it is. Something about money. We all know Lerner is cheap (Bulgaria shoots, just for starters), and I think Lerner didn't pay Seagal for a movie they did or something. But at the same time Seagal has an ego bigger than his appetite and probably wanted double what he was originally offered.

As for the "if the part is right", LMMFAO!!! Look, I know that answers like "If the part is right" and "I'd have to read the script" is Hollywood talk for "I'm not interested", but with Seagal and his track record, I really can't help but laugh at this. Ya know what? At least Jackie Chan flat out said (in a nice way) "I want the cameras on me and Sly the whole time. And I want it shot in my home country so I don't have to fly anywhere". It may be a dick move, but at least he's honest.

Nicolas Cage might be better suited for an ensemble action film with better actors who are closer to their primes. Maybe another studio can do their own Expendables thing with Cage, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Vin Diesel, etc.

I guess it says a lot about The Expendables cast when Nic Cage would be the young go-getter compared to the rest of the crew (and Liam Hemsworth was the newborn baby).

Nic Cage would fit into any movie and make it instantly better.

Exactly. There is no bad Nic Cage movie, only lesser ones. (Except Bangkok Dangerous. I can't forgive that one.)

My least favorite Cage movies are the ones I can't remember anything about (and I've seen 99% of them). No matter how hard I try, I can't remember anything that happened in Bangkok Dangerous.

You guys can't have seen Deadfall...Cage's performance there are so out there that it borders on genius

Man, I would love for Travolta, Cage, Russell and maybe L Jackson to be in in 4.

If they can get Harrison Ford, they should be able to get anyone they want. I'm still in shock he's going to be in this.

Of course I've seen Deadfall. That is not a Cage performance you can forget.

My only problem with these movies is poor Jet Li has little or no time in them and it seems like the UFC fighters are just there as a place setter, their dialogue could be grunts and groans because that is pretty much the only thing they add to the films.

Same here but in that original quote he did say "we'll see", which isn't really a Definitive YES, is it? (meaning, "if the Money's right, then we'll prob do it")
