Thanks Andy. It did happen shortly after I updated the firmware. Does anyone know if sony will help me......even though I took the cover off and voided the warranty(like a dumb ass!). I thought I might be able to clean it or something.

Knowing sony and the *******s that they are......I'm screwed with a 5 month old machine.

Also, I figured the restore would roll back the firmware.....but it didn't. That's strange!!! Maybe Sony can walk me through it on the phone to fix it. Then they wouldn't know cover was removed. What do ya's think?
