Assuming these will be the "cut" versions? I wonder if I should hold off for a complete uncut package.

Should they be cut, I would assume Criterion will release the uncut version.

What do you mean by "cut"? As in censored or not being the 2 films put together?

I'm surprised both volumes are so inexpensive, at least considering the MSRP for each individual volume is $29.99. I pre-ordered just in case it was a mistake.

It's "cut" in the sense that there is a longer director's cut that thus far has only played the Berlin film festival.

The cut version of the film is about an hour and change shorter.

I did, too.

$27.99 for both volumes > each individual volume priced $20.99.

It might very well be a pricing mistake for 2 volume set like grindhouse was when it was 1st able to be preordered

I'd guess they'll be cut, but fingers crossed.

Has anyone got the Nordisk blu that came out last week overseas? Nordisk usually does Trier right.

It's also the official theatrical release that was released all across the world including Denmark. Again, the 4 hour cut is the official final version that everybody saw with the blessing of the director. The 5 hour edit may or may not be eventually released as a special extended cut.
