For BD music to take over it has to overcome CDs, and first there is a CD player in ever car from like 1998 not to mention that every DVD player plays CDs as well...so there are like 1 billion CD players out there. There is 0% chance that BD could possibly take it over, and that is without MP3 players, which a lot of vehicles can also use as well now and home CD players and consoles.

I'm not sure anyone has ever suggested that BD music could replace other formats, rather that it's a good way to provide the option of buying music in higher quality alongside CDs and MP3s. And as I said, BD music needs to come with a CD packaged in with it somehow, or takeup will be extremely low.
