Robert Downey Jr. Developed a Werewolf Movie - Blu-ray Forum

The pitch is based on an idea by Robert Downey Jr., says Deadline, and the Downeys developed the concept with the writer before bringing it to the studio. They’re keeping the logline under wraps, but it’s a supernatural horror comedy in the vein of An American Werewolf in London, which perfectly threaded the needle combining laughs and scares!

It is unclear at this point if Downey will star in the film.

As long as it is about actual werewolves and not just wolves or overgrown wolves then I'll give it a shot.

Can you imagine the reactions this headline would have generated just a few years ago?

The villagers wouldn't have even had time to pick up pitchforks before their heads exploded.

What a difference five or six years can make.

here's a quick idea for a werewolf movie i was talking about with a friend online.

These people are in town to make a crappy cheap Werewolf film. Kinda like Twilight. there's this guy in town who's a real Werewolf hears about this and is pissed off how they've been making Werewolves a mockery on film lately. So he decides to kill the crew so the movie doesn't get made. And prove a point.

I'm all for finally seeing a good werewolf movie, and RDJ's involvement is promising, though I highly doubt he will be in it himself.

Agree Werewolf in London is one of the best Werewolf movies. This project sounds like a good Idea, maybe get back to what werewolf's do best ripping people apart. Not taking their shirt off in the name of love.
