The Conjuring, when Ed and Lorraine's daughter hides in a room because all the lights are going out.
[Show spoiler]The door slams shut behind her, then she realizes there is a woman on the rocking chair playing with a doll. The rocking chair stops, and the doll slowly starts to turn towards the girl
. Needless to say, I won't be starting that movie again at 1 am.

Probably anytime I see the words "directed by Kevin Smith" in the opening credits.

Tough one. But I'm going to go with another poster and

from "The Shining." That stuck with me ... well, to this day. Seriously messed up

That's a great one - I just watched the German blu ray a couple of weeks ago so I don't know how I could have forgotten how scary that particular scene is!!

It's a brief moment but the scene in The Exorcist where the demon's face flashes on the screen scared the s**t out of me when I first watched the film.

Excellent make-up work.

THIS!!!!! Creeps me the hell out. The first half of this movie is pure genius. Too bad it fell apart in the third act.
I watched this the first time you posted this, but I just went back and watched it again. Is that the boy standing next to the ironing board when she's walking through the laundry room? If so, I missed that the first time.

I'm not big on "scary movies", but it makes me want to watch this movie after seeing this video.

That movie had a great atmosphere. For me, it was the video recordings that really freaked me out (and the novelization of the movie went even further into the details of what everybody actually saw).

Such a good film and yeah it's creepy as hell, it's essentially Hellraiser in space.

Also don't eat anything in the scene when they're watching the video logs.

The fim is all kinds of creepy. Not just that scene...but even the dyke scene is scary freakish, not to mention the blatant exploitation by using real freaks to scare the crap out of us...and of course the fantastic cinematography and sound design is equally creeptastic. I hope whenever this gets to blu (and it will) that it is handled well.
