Looks like it will be just the butchered version. Over at DVD Active, there's an image of the cover art with the runtime listed as just 89 minutes. What a wasted opportunity!!!

If they got someone who enjoys this movie, what a great release it would've been. Maybe we should demonstrate this to WB and refuse to buy this until they do a proper release, instead of cheap and quick releases.

There's no way they would invest in a DC, the movie have zero cult following. That's why it's released cheaply, sadly.

DC are only for movies that had some kind of success.

I'd rather have the actual proper series on Blu.

I bought a bag of gummy bears the other day. Just recreating that scene and then plopping them into my mouth would be more rewarding than watching this piece of garbage again.

Is this movie received so badly due to most of the exposition being badly cut?

I say, if you're not going to make a quality release, don't release it at all.

I can't say I liked it much myself, but I am a big Ralph Fiennes and Sean Connery fan. And Ms. Thurman in that costume....
I would love to have the proper director's cut of the film!!

I have preordered the disc and sent an email to WB home video about releasing the full version of the film, which was not shown in theaters.

What email address did you use?

There's also a petition to get the full version released but it seems WB are simply ignoring it. The way they have been treating this movie ever since it was released is like banging your head against a brick wall and saying "I just can't understand why my head hurts?" WB had this edited so all of the plot exposition was removed and they wonder why it was received so badly???

I sent my request here:
http://www.warnerbros.com/help/customer-service.html
It may not be the right place to send it and I have not heard back as of yet. That being said, I thought it was worth doing.

This is also a great site about the film.

Most of the content is now on Facebook though:

That's just the tip of the iceberg.
I'd go for 90% of your choices. The Corruptor is probably the pick of the New Line back catalogue.

There are others Warner should release like the rest of the Seagal theatrical films they produced plus Showdown in Little Tokyo and maybe even Freejack. Then there are other great films in their vault like Exorcist 3...

How many copies of The Avengers do they really expect to sell?

I just noticed today suddenly on Amazon this is no longer showing a release date but instead "sign up to be notified when this item becomes available".
Dare I hope this means we will get a directors cut of some sort?

I know its been said that the Avengers release will be region free due to it been a Warner Bros release. On Amazon its still listed as Region A but it does say its from the Paramount Catalogue? will this make a difference?

It should still be considered a Warner Bros. release and region free.
