Great thread MBF!! The 20th Century Fox fanfare has always been my favorite too. Even if you going to see a romantic comedy, it always quickens the pulse. I always hate when they chop off the original logo that was used and use a brand spanking new studio logo. As far as I'm concerned, the logo is part of any particular films history. Here's a bit of a neat spin on the 20th Century Fox logo used in Alien 3.

United Artists from the 1980s (filmed using a rotating model): The Secret of NIMH wouldn't be the same without it. The Ladd Company, probably most famous for appearing at the start of Blade Runner: I've always been partial to the 1991, post-75th anniversary version of the Universal Pictures logo: But my personal favorite Universal logo will always be this, from 1936 to 1946: |
