I mean, its directed by James Gunn, a comedy director, the trailer included plenty of comedy, and two of the main characters are a talking raccoon and a tree, for christs sake!
Because people were expecting that movie will have some comedic, but this movie is overloaded with comedic... that´s the thing. When we knew to wait like 10 different joke, then now we have 100 jokes. That´s the thing.

The more trailers I see for this movie, the more I feel the comedic elements are necessary and will work tremendously well.

This has the feel of an over-the-top comic book movie but well done, well scripted, and well acted. It simply cannot take itself too seriously or else it falls apart completely.

Exactly. The person complaining about comedy clearly doesn't know the comic series, and doesn't realize that this is the kind of movie that needs to be tongue and cheek to work. The original 'Star Wars' has a lot of little comedic bits too, which made the movie work better. When has a film having comedy become a bad thing?

But Tron Legacy did! And that's Disney. Maybe, just maybe we might see it!

James Gunn is quite active on social media. Maybe we can create some awareness that we want to see this on home media.

That would definitely be great. But, I doubt that will happen for the future Blu-ray release of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Oh well, looks like I'll be watching this twice. Once in Dolby Atmos and another in IMAX 3D.

I wish they wouldn't do shifting ARs. If a film doesn't utilize IMAX cameras, there is no benefit... They are just blowing up what they have and cropping it too. Might stick with RealD for this one.

I don't disagree with you. However, film IMAX is declining (for all the wrong reasons too) and film IMAX is no longer existent in Singapore. I have to make do with Digital IMAX. But I'm still going to watch it to experience James Gunn's vision.
Besides, the Arri Alexa is one of the very best digital cinema cameras.

Good lord...did you guys see the NBA Finals TV spot?

I like how they refer to it as "A Marvel Cinematic Universe Expanse".

That's a shame that it's gone from Singapore! I agree that the Arri is amazing... I was taken aback by how beautiful The Wolverine's Arri photography looked on Blu-ray.

We were making sarcastic remarks about you saying you could possibly be wrong. Most people here think a better thing for you to have said is, "I am probably wrong" rather than "I could possibly be wrong."
