I'll be very impressed if the show can keep it interesting given the material.
her role will get bigger and bigger in the 2 last books that is for sure you can already sense that. Then there is the whole RW 2 she and BWB is planning. So i think her role on the show will be bigger

I don't wanna sound too pessimistic
Alternative(with high probability) is that Martin will off her just like so many other characters. Lucky us, she can be resurrected by red priest, N number of times, but who's to say Martin will not massacre them both to ensure resurrection won't happen. Or he might continue as before, give LS a chapter per book and describe in detail travels of whoever, it's not like there are not enough characters to travel around.

Like I said in another post, it's hard to care or count on someone after so many characters getting killed for good/bad/no reasons.

noway is GRRM gonna off her without her becoming really important. Because then what was the point of bringing her back

Or, the whole point of her becoming important again is to off her for one more shocker killing.

Yeah, more shocking than the f***ing Red Wedding. Sure.

I'm in agreement with mredman here. She'll factor into the endgame somehow.

Yeah I was just trying to create some excitement but it would be lame to end the season with her again.

I hope I'm wrong and both of you are right After killing so many characters, it's hard to shock by definition. People show up for few chapters of few episodes if you will, then get offed.

Seriously though, I think it'll continue at a slow pace as it were in B4 and B5, unless he kills of everyone else remotely interesting and LS is one of the very few remaining.

Well, I've listened to the final track on the Season 4 Soundtrack.

It features the
[Show spoiler]Stark
theme. So the final scene will most likely be focused either on
[Show spoiler]Bran or Lady Stoneheart.

Definitely not
[Show spoiler]Dany
. And it sounds the most like the music associated with
[Show spoiler]Robb/Catelyn.

Still, it wouldn't surprise me either, given the title, for the episode to end with
[Show spoiler]the reveal of the Children of the Forest
. Either way, the ending should be pretty damn cool.

That would completely ruin the surprise. If she's in, she'll end up getting a special credit off the top of the ending credits.
You're right, you're right, they're gonna totally "Kevin Spacey" her.

Could you please spoiler that, mredman? I only glanced at that list before turning away, but saw enough to notice that it spoils certain things from the finale. Book Spoilers are fair game in here, but not future episode specific spoilers.

The key thing about this weeks ending, whatever it is, is no more GofT for nine months

It also mentions nothing pertaining to Shae or Tywin, so I guess that got cut too

The most interesting thing for me was the way they chose to handle Thorne. Generally a character who is a basic a-hole is consistently treated as such. Instead they chose to give Thorne a moment of brilliance. He led well and fought with courage and skill. Doesnt make him any less of a ball buster but an interesting choice by the show writers.

I really liked Thorne this last episode. He was an ass (as always), but he at least showed he had the skills to back the attitude up. I like how he said they needed to survive so that they can go back to hating eachother again

Well we always see Thorne from Jon's POV if I remember right. Thorne has good reason to hate the Starks. So we kinda get a mix of the hardass man that is the way he is to train fighters and you get the hate for the Starks all mixed into one. I like that we get to see some of his good qualities with the 3rd person view of the show.

But it's appropriate. No matter how much they hate each other, they are "brothers" and their livelihood depends on each's success that night.

I agree but it would have been easy for the writers to have Thorne stay on the wall and do much less. He could have sent Jon down to fight the real fight much like he sent him to Crastors. I think they made a brave choice.
