yeah I was going to go to bestbuy at 1030 when they opened to get weeds but wound up at the gfs longer and by the time I got there (12:00) the guy had to find one of like 4-5 copies in the back... weeds is selling like crazy! just checked the store locator and its sold out at 6 of my "local" bestbuys

Received an email 15 mins ago advising Face/Off, Sky Captain, Sahara and Shooter won't ship till 4th July.

Extremely disappointing. Another month to wait? What's going on with these re-releases?

Because best buy buyers are dumb (dumb might be a little bit harsh) for the most part. they do not order all movies, they tipically only order the "New" releases for the release day, not all the older re-released for blu-ray. I was *****ing (More like asking why not so much *****ing) to best buy employees about this a while back because they never had the older movies in stock and i WAS SHOWING UP (cap locks was hit in error) on the way to work for the opening of the store on release day occasionally only to leave empty handed. According to the employees, the stores do not control what is bought, the CORP-buyers do. (Now this is all second hand info so if it is incorrect it is probably employees covering up their co-worker/friends mistakes).
My 2 cents (Sense), now can i get my change please.

P.S. Blockbuster is even worse than Best Buy for this, they hardly ever hav new releases for sale day of release if it is a re-release.

I just received an e-mail from Amazon telling me that my order of "We Were Soldiers" scheduled to ship on June 3rd had been pushed back to June 17-23. There are too many late or non-available orders showing up for this to be anything but Amazon's screw-up. If you're going to advertise something as available for sale, it darn well should be available. If you sell out you should immediately take that product off the board and advise that it is at least temporarily out of stock. It will be a cold day in you know where before I "pre-order" from Amazon again.

Worse was the email I got for Weeds Season 3 with no delivery estimate (TBD)

My copy of The Eye shipped Monday. I pre-ordered it a couple weeks ago when the price dropped. I have Amazon Prime too. You people do realize that they ship the Amazon Prime orders before any of the other standard shipping orders, don't you?

canceled it thru amazon... getting it shipped from buy.com...
using the standard buy.com shipping tho so will have it next week...

To my shock, yesterday my BB had all of the catalog titles, even the older movies like Patton, The Bridge Too Far, etc.

They only had 2-3 copies each though.

When did you order it? If you ordered it Monday, it would have been too late. Before I was a Prime member and I have even heard this from others who are not Prime members preorder items as soon as they are available still do not get their items shipped first. Sometimes they would wait until Tuesday to ship them instead of Monday. It is true that Amazon Prime members get their items shipped before non Prime members.

They have completely removed all Paramount re-releases from Amazon all together now I see. You can't even "Pre-Order" or "Place an Order." Something extremely weird is going on. I went to four stores after work yesterday and seen 1 copy of Blades of Glory at Circuit City for $35 and Walmart had two copies of Face/Off for $20. That's it.

I preorded Cloverfield on May 28th, Amazon says it wont be in stock until July 3rd! I cancelled my order, I wanted to watch that movie this weekend so I'll just go to my local BB and get robbed for the 29.99 price they are advertising! Hey at least i get today! Very Dissapointed with Amazon!
