MGS4 - Amazon Delivery June 16th?

Need some clarification on what you are saying here. Are you saying Amazon will SHIP it on 6/16? Or you will RECEIVE it on 6/16? If they ship 6/12 then 4 days in transit sounds like a normal estimate to me. Unless you "need" to get a PS3 that exact day, 4 days isn't that long of a wait. Or you could just upgrade your shipping...

That said, I have had preorders ship before the actual release date so I would receive it either before or on the actual release date. It probably just depends on when exactly they get their actual supply from the manufacturer.

That is their estimation of when you will recieve it, not when it ships.

They most likely put the 16th because they do not know for sure yet what time of day on the 12th they will be able to package and ship it. If they don't have it out the door by 3pm it will not be delivered on the 13th meaning it won't get to you until Monday (no saturday or sunday deliveries).

MGS4 is supposed to be delivered to stores on June 11th to be put out on the 12th (hence the midnight madness at Gamestops). Amazon is just being conservative in their estimate and I would be very surprised if you didn't have it on Friday once they get them in on the 11th...

Who knows, you may get lucky and see it on the 12th if they get them soon enough on the 11th!

Amazon is generally good about stuff like that. Don't sweat the estimate. In my experience the estimates are usually conservative and I often get stuff before then.

They'll ship it on the 12th if they have it by 3pm PST.

Receipt time depends on you (selecting overnight, 2-day, slow boat to China, etc).

Since games on Amazon are the same price as retailers on release day, I just hit the store. I used to pre-order at Amazon, but they never once shipped a game before the release date, so I always got it after I could of had it by just hitting the store.

I don't think it will be hard to get. Best Buys all over are opening at Midnight on the 12th to sell loads of copies.
