Okay guys, it's not in my nature to be alarmist (and god knows I don't want to give mredman a heart attack), but this is actually worrying with regard to Lady Stoneheart.

Michelle Fairely gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly and they talked about the LS fallout:

You couldn’t have missed the online furor over the lack of Lady Stoneheart in the Thrones finale. Were you surprised by that attention?
I actually haven’t seen any of that. I don’t look that stuff up. I avoid it like the plague. I was totally unaware.

There was a lot of online conversation. I heard third-hand that you were basically told that it’s not likely to ever happen. Is that accurate?
Yeah, the character’s dead. She’s dead.

Do you have a preference at all—do you think Catelyn’s arc should end where it ended, or would you be into the resurrection idea?
You respect the writers’ decision. I knew the arc, and that was it. They can’t stick to the books 100 percent. It’s impossible—they only have 10 hours per season. They have got to keep it dramatic and exciting, and extraneous stuff along the way gets lost in order to maintain the quality of brilliant show.

Obviously a lot here depends on the validity of Hibberd's "third hand" source, but Fairley seems to acknowledge this as correct info. Either that or it's a complete deception on her part. But she's not really being coy here - her responses seem very direct.

well if they cut her out then beric dondarrion can sacrifice himself for Jon snow skip over LS(cut out the middle man)if thats what they do in the next book of course. this is just going by theories though lol.

Yeah I can see why D&D are possibly cutting her out. I mean they know the "ending" to the books so it's possible they decided she isn't important to the story.

Couldn't they have a CGI Lady Stoneheart, or another actor with fake facial prosthetics (or whatever you call it) ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but her appearance in the books has changed enough that a lot of people don't immediately recognize her.

This has nothing to do with getting Michelle Fairley back. I doubt they'd have any problem bringing her in to do it if they wanted to include the character.

never trust actors on Revenge someone did the same there was articles saying she was done on the show and then BAM and some actors on Vampire Diaries also where showrunners said they are done especially Tyler and Jeremy actors. Joshua Jackson did the same on Fringe. Duchovny on X-files and there are so many cases actually

But if they infact have cut her these showrunners are epic jerks and fans have the right to be pissed because then they could just have said a year ago we will not include LS. So what the hell was all the secrets about anyway

But the whole thing does not make any sense since they already gave us many hints for her to show up.

They already gave Brienne the storyline to meet her - Oathkeeper and Oath to Cat and the group she leads - BWB,Thoros, Berics resurrection, sansa mentioning throat cut thrown into river..

They had the family Arya and the Hound was with say that Freys will pay for killing guests at RW..

so you said but you are also a person that don't want her on the show even if they have been setting her up with the whole brotherhood and Brienne/Pod storyline. So i am really about that

Yeah, I just don't buy it at all either. I think that since there is so much talk about LSH on the internet right now, they are just trying to throw everyone off.

Even though she may not be in the books very much so far, bringing Catelyn back as Lady Stoneheart was a huge surprise for me reading the books, and I would imagine it would be just as shocking and exciting in the show if not more so, especially to the non-readers.

I think that there's about a 95% chance that we will see her next season regardless of what they say about it. That's one of the things that this show does best: The "Oh Shit!" surprises.

I would like her on the show, but in the published books, she's a very minor character. They've cut far more important characters.
