For my money, both Zombieweens belong in the top 5 Halloween films, easily. Zombieween 2 is easily a top 20 horror film of the last, say, 20 years.
Instead of me saying "ew no!" I am actually curious as to what makes you think it was that good? What did it do right/wrong?

I'll go against you all and go in a different direction...would rather have Halloween III based on the first Halloween III....so sick of Michael Myers. So there said it.

I agree with his statement, my reasoning was that the movie felt truly evil to me, that's really the only way that I can describe it....... Evil.

[Show spoiler]the entire part where Michael imagines he is still a child and he thinks he is getting his family back together, while an imaginary version of his mother "runs shits" it just felt very evil!

Name me another mainstream horror film that was that batshit insane, that violent, and that auteuristic in that last 20 years. If that doesn't work for you, and I guess for a lot of people it didn't, then I can see why you'd hate it. But was thrilled with Zombie's no-holds-barred, sheer-insanity take on the story. Yes, Zombiemyers is nothing like the original, but that's almost a good thing. What would be the point of trying to remake Halloween 78 the same way? It would automatically be worse, so you may as well make a film that's just loosely based on it.

Also, "If I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you."

Agreed. I loved everything about Zombies HII. It felt so dirty and unsafe, like a cross between Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And it's also a mind f*** of a film that's not for everybody, which is the way it should be. It's definitely in my top 10 favorite horror films.

I enjoyed Zombie's H2. One of the more darker films in the last ten years.

If they want to ignore H2, I'm all for it, but bring back Scout Taylor Compton and Tyler Mane!

I disagree with the last sentence.

I'm not shocked that some liked the ZOMBIE versions. Even I thought the first was alright.
But to me, the white trash element was just too much. I didn't care one bit about who lived or who died. I actually became annoyed as every single character was just disgusting and vulgar. In a movie like that, you are supposed to root for someone ala Jamie Lee Curtis.

I am happy Zombie is done and I look forward to a better continuation of this franchise.
