The Shout Factory site says that they have secured the 1500 copies and not 1000 as said in the original press release, I wonder if Amazon will get any at this rate ?

The only issue with amazon is simply Shout Factory evidently holding up on the pre-order. It isn't that hard to get an item listed. I'm holding out for amazon if push comes to shove and Shout lets everyone know they are down to the last 500 copies then I'll worry.

On your list, The Blob is the only one that's limited and will go quick. The rest will be readily available and likely cheaper down the road. I would go for Nightbreed now (and Blob) then pick up the rest as you can later.

Shout dont ship to UK so its kinda unfair if they sell out before putting on Amazon.

It is, kinda, but when it all comes down to it this is a Region A release. If they can sell all of them here in NA then I don't entirely blame them for doing so. I know it sucks for those around the world, I do, but I get why they would just go ahead and sell them all if there are already enough of people ready to buy it.

Considering Shout licenses these films exclusively for North America, they legally can't sell them to foreign buyers anyway.

They temporarily removed it because the traffic was crashing their servers.

I don't know the details of Shout Factory's relationship with Amazon, but I'd be very happy for them if they were able to sell through all 5000 copies themselves. (Assuming they can handle the volume, which is a troubling thought.) You have to figure they're getting a larger percentage of profit selling it 'in-house' vs. to another retailer. It's tough for any company to stay afloat, and I appreciate what they're trying to produce for the fans.

I didn't think things through entirely when I said I thought it would be around for months. I didn't take into account international buyers, or how insane Clive Barker fans are. I'll be happy to be wrong if it does sell out very soon.

I think you also have to include speculators. I've already read several post in the thread where people have mentioned possibly purchasing more than one copy. I know this title would eventually sell out anyway because of the reasons you mentioned, but I believe those anticipating the secondary market are driving some of the sales.
