While it sucks that TT still has a hold on Fright Night and Christine, I knew the announcement was coming. The info leaked months ago and they did nothing to dispel the rumors. It just means I need to set aside some money for it later in the year so I have it ready and waiting when they are reissued next year.
I suspect a great many of the now-OOP titles they have released that sold out quickly will see reissue. Especially the genre titles like Rollerball, The Fury, Body Double, the Sinbads, Wild at Heart, etc. Anything that sold like hotcakes is likely to get relicensed, so just start preparing yourselves right now. The only title that they said they have no intention of redoing soon is Night of the Living Dead (1990). That said, I'll be shocked if they don't reissue it with a new transfer on down the line. |

On the Dog Soldiers front, I'm hearing that they may have finally worked out the rights issues that are holding up that release. Once everything is squared, they can resume work on it. They're giving it a brand spankin' new transfer, from what I have been told by someone involved. Here's hoping it comes together sooner rather than later.
Also, while I'm not personally a fan of the show (my wife is though), I'm glad that they scored Hemlock Grove: Season One. That show is fairly popular and should bring in a healthy income for them, with the added benefit of future seasons to profit off of as well. It might not be my bag, but it will certainly help to pay for things in the future that are. And since I didn't get to chime in earlier, screw all the people complaining about the Eli Roth pic. I didn't see testy fans going apeshit like that over videos of Guillermo Del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn (among others) getting to walk out of Criterion with armfuls of free Blus. Net nerd hypocrisy is a disgusting thing. |

Nightbreed is now available for pre-order on amazon.
Nightbreed: The Director's Cut Nightbreed: The Director's Cut (Limited Edition) I wonder if Amazon will crash too, with all the pre-orders for the limited edition, I already pre-ordered mine, thanks to my sister giving me a $100 gift card for amazon for my Birthday. Thanks Sis ![]() |

So according to Amazon the release date for The Tales from the Crypt/Vault of Horror double feature is 14th October, and the date for Squirm is 28th October. Of this year's known releases (so far) that just leaves The Doctor and The Devils without a confirmed date, providing Lord of Illusions doesn't appear until 2015.
Did Cliff and Jeff not say on that recent KillerPOV podcast that there were more titles to come in September? I might have imagined or misheard that. Last edited by BarnDoor; 07-08-2014 at 04:30 PM. |

Preordered both Nightbreeds because I still don't know which version I want and I wanted to take advantage of the cheaper preorders. Once I get a feel for finances over the next few months, as well as seeing how much Kino and Scorpion have for October that I'm interested in, it'll be an easier decision.
If October is heavy, the limited edition Nightbreed is gonna be the first thing to go. For now, 55 is decent. It was about how much I figured it would be when I first clicked scream's link. |

![]() Don't bother buying the TT rereleases when you can get the same quality (or possibly even better) blu ray for much less. |

So I pre-ordered the Limited Edition on both Shout Factory's site and also on Amazon. Now, I want to cancel my order from the former. How do I cancel an order on Shout Factory's website?
EDIT: Nevermind, I was informed in the other thread. Last edited by Metallix87; 07-08-2014 at 05:59 PM. |

I couldn't agree more with this thought. I live in the US and don't have a Region B Player, so for me the Twilight Time Re-release is all I got. However I'd gladly support another regions release if I lived in Europe and had the option to do so. For everyone abroad, I simply don't understand why they'd bother with the Twilight Time headache when they have other options available to them.

For some that don't care about new features that the new TT discs might have it is a better priced deal for the other regions releases. It is Sony all over the world that I know of for those two films so I think they will be region free just like TT's.
If only Richard Kobritz owned the rights to the home video release of Christine like he owns for the film itself and any future sequel or remake. |
