Sorry. I apologize. It was my error. I do hope everyone here who wants a copy will ultimately be able to get one. It's a really cool release and I'd hate to see anyone miss out. Thanks for taking the time to clarify for me. I appreciate it.

That's not good (for us consumers anyhow). Wow, these are going fast. Hope most people have their order in already.

They had upgraded their server prior to putting it up for sale this last time, so I would be inclined to believe that it is perhaps, in fact sold out.

Careful with Best Buy. I have had them cancel an order when they ran out of stock of something limited.

Yeah. They might still have some but if they do it can't be many. I mean if Shout has 2,300 copies, Amazon is sold out, and if DiabolikDVD is now sold out I would assume that doesn't leave very many for other retailers to sell.

I have ordered around 20 Blu-rays from Blowitoutofhere. 2 of them came in plain grey unpadded bags. That is 10% and and not a chance I would be willing to take with this LE.

It was a plain grey bag. It was the second time I received one like that from them.

Edited to add image...this is very similar to the mailer they sent them in:

Yes I blame the company because they should never send a blu-ray or DVD in a plain bag with no padding. How the hell can you blame the Post office if it gets damaged when it has no freakin cushioning???!!!

I'm happy that you have a post office that carefully handles every package with loving & caring hands, but I live in NYC and there isn't much love to be found here. So I want at least some damn cushioning in the mailer, that is the least they can do.

Now the odds are the LE will come in a padded envelope, but with such an expensive and limited item like this (where you know you will not be able to get a replacement), I just wouldn't play the odds.

I wouldn't trust ordering this from them either. At this point, with Amazon and Diabolik appearing to be sold out, I would go with the SF store, Amazon.ca, or Best Buy (as a distant third option).

If you really, really, really want to take a chance, B&N has it on their site as well.

I'm not surprised the Blu is selling out so quickly; I was a bit of a late-comer to the thread (in terms of actually posting) and it seems every time I re-checked there'd be another twenty or so pages!

Agreed. I have to check it every day to stay up to date. Minimal trolling and lots of people contributing updates and info. Much appreciated, guys!

I their defense, I've ordered over 200 blu-rays from them including amarays, Criterion digipacks, digibooks, and steelbooks, and have only had an issue with about 5. The vacuum sealed corrugated cardboard mailer doesn't appear to be much protection, but it has served me well with them so far. It's the same packaging you'll get from most sellers these days, besides Amazon, which usually sends blu-rays out in an oversized bubble mailer that allows the blu to move around and damage slipcover/slip box corners. I've had way more returns with Amazon because of damage than with any other seller.

I was referring to the availability thru B&N. Have no idea how many copies they've been allotted, it's just another option out there for those that didn't get it from Amazon, etc.

I wouldn't even trust Best Buy. If they do run out of stock, you won't get the order at all because they will cancel it if they don't have any more stock within a certain amount of time.

Most definitely wouldn't take a chance on something like this.

I would imagine that the grey plastic bag delivery system is part of the reason http://www.blowitoutahere.com keeps their costs low. It's pretty much an online outlet store, no?
