Most users online.. - Blu-ray Forum

not sure if this is the correct area to post this, but on the forum homepage it says "Most users ever online was 15,901, 11-13-2007 at 06:01 PM"... does anyone else find that amazing!!!! considering there are 30,000+ members NOW, that was probably over half the total members THEN!!! i've never seen more than 3000 at any one time.. Sorry, this might seem a bit of a silly observation but thought id throw it out there!

I think it is interesting how our different routines converge here.

Alot of us are posting at work, but then there is the late night crew.

There are the school kids who are here all day sometimes and then there are the quick punchy people who get in...post...and get out and you never see them again for two weeks.

Definitely a cool study.

yeah interesting points. i guess, living in my region, the time difference certainly comes in to play and that is why i dont always see over the 3000 or so online at anyone time. still, huge amount of members to be on at one time.. posts must have come thick and fast that day!

You should have been around mid of last year when the Mods wanted to check the server out...there was a thread that was posted and it grew to about 300 pages in less that 6 hrs.

thats serious!! i guess with different events and news going the amount of people online would vary. id imagine during the convention in vegas in january we would have seen larger numbers online compared to today for example.

Yep, it was somthing to do with HDDVD and the war ending...and it just took off but it turned out to be fake.

Somebody posted that Warner was going to have a press conference the next day, and declare Blu-ray exclusivity. A hoax, but prophetic.

Somebody submitted a post to Digg and it hit frontpage, that's how we racked up that sick online count

I'm trying to remember what news came out around that time to draw in that many users at once.

I used to be into Digg quite a bit....then they got really crappy and put up the popularity ratings...it got out of control, I left...and they did away with popularity stuff...the community is really a lot like fark, so i lost interest when the stories that didn't fit into their agenda got buried within a few minutes...the popularity contest was gone, but, the cliques were/are still there.

I got wired on Digg with the "top Diggers" (MrBabyMan). I guess that's why I'm so addicted. Also because of Diggnation, Kevin & Alex rock. I am getting tired of the politcs on it though...
