im guessing he has a 61,65 or 66.

These HDTVs will accept a 24hz signal, but will run a 3:2 pulldown still and flash a 60hz image on the screen. There is still the uneven judder in these HDTVs. Look at the credits are the end of a movie and you will see.

The question is, what does a better job of running a 3:2 pulldown, the HDTV or the PS3.

I find the PS3 does a better job.

I did a lot of research regarding this subject, as I have a 65. The 65 does an amazing job with the 3:2 pulldown, and its the closest Ive ever seen to true 24hz, plus it doesn't have the flickering that some of the 24hz HDTVs have.
