When I went to the movies yesterday ay Regal. They had the usual Go Big or Stay home promo. They were talking about Guardians and Talking about Anti-piracy and a movie this big should be seen on the screen.

At the end of it, they said you'll get a exclusive Regal poster when you buy your ticket there.

Oh yeah, forgot about that.

I wasn't a biggest fan of Cap 2 like others, I preferred the first one by a pretty large margin.

Anyways, the use of Spirit in the Sky in the trailer of GoTG is pure gold.

Read today that there is an 8 minute scene in the movie of them all just sitting around trying to come up with a plan. And some people think it is one of the best scenes in the film.

I sat through 45 minutes of women sitting around talking about nothing in Death Proof to get ready. I can't wait for this movie.

Well, crap.

I tried to win passes from Aint It Cool to a screening in Chicago on Wednesday but they just gave the list of winners I didn't get picked.

The wife and kids are out of town all this week, so it would have been the one time ever I could have made that weeknight drive to go to a cool early screening. So much for that.

Looks like the soundtrack is also having a vinyl release!

Good hear the good early reviews. Wonder if the real critics will react the same way.

A lot of those reactions are real critics. There was a lot of buzz leaving the screening. Whether people want to believe it or not is another thing entirely. Reviews should go live on the 24th.

Cool man! I almost didn't post that as some might have thought I was cross promoting for my own benefit. Nothing could be further from the truth. (I wish I could get a kick back!) I was just browsing soundtracks and stumbled upon it. I experimented with buying soundtracks off ITunes but it's just not the same as having a soundtrack CD in your hand. And I do like that cover!

[Show spoiler]Also, owww... poor Rocket. The implant scars and metal things attached to his back.

I had heard about it from those who saw the previews. But it's worse than I thought.

I've done a good job of avoiding anything besides actual trailers.
I'm going to try my damnedest to do the same with Star Wars VII and Avengers 2

This film better move mountains, considering all the talk since this past weekend.

I've persuaded the missus to come to a showing with me on Thursday ( I won a pair of tickets ), really hoping the movie lives up to the promise of the trailers, otherwise my movie picking privileges will be revoked

I'm only really going out of obligation to the over arching plot. I'm curious about Thanos and how the Guardians fit into Avengers 3. Nothing more. Plus, my son really wants to see the film. He wants to see Guardians bad but he wants to see TMNT REALLY bad.

So, here's hoping to have two solid films on back to back weekends.
