What do you think...is ONE opinion all Blu-ray.com members could agree on? - Blu-ray Forum

...since we can't agree on much anything, there's got to be one opinion we can all agree on. Don't go getting all political. And don't mention HD DVD, there are prior supporters of that format here who don't hate it as fervently as I've seen others or get riled up at the mere mention of it.

I venture my humble opinion to say that:

"LCD owners should not complain about black bars, but gray bars instead."

I think we can all agree on that. And I love my LCD, but...yea.

EDIT: Here's what I know we CAN'T agree on and frequently argue over each other with to no end.

-Movie Taste
-Plasma vs. LCD
-Speaker Brands
-DNR
-OAR
-Studio Loyalty
-DVD, HD-DVD

blu - ray is amazing. i'm pretty sure that would fly with everyone

Blu ray is impressive... but not "amazing" as

a·maz·ing, noun
–verb (used with object) 1. to overwhelm with surprise or sudden wonder; astonish greatly.
2. Obsolete. to bewilder; perplex.
–verb (used without object)

I don't think I'm "surprised" in this technology...

and I don't think we should all agree that LCD owners shouldn't complain about Grey bars..... they should be Black, so we shouldn't be able to complain about Black bars..... but they're grey... OH THE IRONY!

I don't know, upconverted DVDs look great too.

Far be it from us to point names and start yet ANOTHER argument, so let's take it away from that age-related discussion. And upconverted DVDs do look ok from time to time.
