However, even with 5 episodes - it still will look great and I'm happy this is getting released at all. Plenty of series have 4 or 5 hour long episodes on them per disc along with other bonus features.

one does not to see the results of 5 hours 1080p video on 1 blu-ray disc to know that that is utter garbage. that is some lame crap Mill Creek would pull and its sad to see WB sinking to that level now.

Yeah, it's a little disappointing that the movie isn't included at the very least (not that it matters to me since I have it). Some of those other things (Adam West Naked for example) should be included though. And cramming so many episodes on a disc...

That being said, I'm typically okay with just getting the regular version over the big box set if it's something I'm not a die hard fan of, but that Batmobile car in the set looks intriguing....

a tv show that has not widescreen, has a lot of "black" in the encode, + lack of knowledge of ACTUAL picture quality means I'll wait and see. not flip off the deep end. 4x3 black and white images are much easier on the bitrate for sure and we won't know when that area of diminishing returns kicks in...especially since we haven't seen the release

Overall, the packaging looks better than I imagined it would. The car, cards, and especially the two books look like great add-ons and I'm excited to see the bright colors in high-def.

I was debating on not getting this as I haven't watched this show in years and years but I'm sold on it now.

there would only be black on the sides if they did a window boxed transfer, which would lower the bit-rates even more than the standard over crammed crap they are doing for the release
