Thank you. Looks like I will have to wait until Thursday and hope my check arrives then.

Not quite sure what to make of this?

So many errors on the page
That's obviously a bootleg, but again, I think that cover is better than anything WB is using for the series releases.

I wish WB would have went with something like that proposed custom artwork that was going around awhile back. Too bad they decided to go with "bland and uninspired" as opposed to "awesome". Designed by Metaluna 5 Media: Metaluna 5 Media Facebook Post

You're inconsistent - red on red isn't good but blue on blue is?

Thanks again Mifunefan for a second time, you're a useful and appreciated contributor to this site. I like many others have ordered from wbshop.com, but also kept my amazon preorder just to see what happens. In the end anything other than food and shelter could be seen as a Frivolous luxury , but even still, I'm always grateful to waste less money than more any chance I can get. As my girlfriend says I'm a man-child... But God I love this show, and it's such a guilty pleasure I can't wait until release.

Haha, I was waiting for someone to call me out on that.

You're right, it is blue on blue, and both very dark shades of it, too -- there should defintely be a shift in the shading to give it more contrast between Batman and the dark Gotham skyline behind them. But I personally can accept what I see here more, because for one, I'm used to seeing Batman cast in shadow, while Robin is the one who should stand out more with vibrant colors. I also think that the blue background, which is attempting to mimick the show's opening animated sequence, represents the series enough without hitting me over the head with the camp and gaudiness. Also, when it comes down to it, given the choice, I just prefer the color of the cool blue-on-blue to the garish red-on-red.

And another thing, I really think Adam West looks better in that bootleg photo (with his hands at his waist) than he does on the limited edition set (where he has his arms crossed and hand to his face) or the DVD set (where his cowl/mask is ill-fitting). I prefer the limited edition pose for Robin, though.

It all comes down to personal taste, and really, I still like this cover the best:

Did you know in Hong Kong it's called "The Kato Show" and is edited to focus more of Lee's character.

What if it was originally The Kato Show and it was edited in North America to be more about the American people?

Van Williams wouldn't have been cast as The Green Hornet then

I never knew that
I think the episode I have on DVD may be the Green Hornet crossover one, I'll have to check because it would be cool to see Bruce in early role (I've seen bits of him in Marlowe I think)

Highly unlikely, because that was just some very talented fan-art. Would have been great if WB had made a deal with the artist to use it though.

Once I put my pre-order in at wbshop.com I became super excited for the set. November 11th can't come soon enough. I will probably have watched Twin Peaks 5 times by then so Batman will come out at the right time to help me detox from that set.

Honestly my problem with that is the pastelish rainbow background is straight up not the show's pallette. They need to be solid and bubblegummy in color.

I am surprised that I like the purple bg for the DVD set. Although I think the use of the Gotham background in that bootleg is an element that could have been used in the official.

I'm also partial towards this shot of the duo, but that's because I've had that book forever it seems.

Like I said a while back, that art tries to pretend this is a serious show, which it is not. The official artwork matches the show's actual tone and style much better.

Yeah, the colour scheme from the opening would have been great. This has to be one of the all-time best TV themes. I remember when, as a kid, I finally got to see the movie and I was shocked that they didn't include the classic theme - blasphemy!
