The remake of When A Stranger Calls is a MUCH better film than the waful original. I personally can't even make it through the first one. Happy Brithday to Me is a really solid slasher though.

I wouldve rather seen When a Stranger Calls released with the remake, and Happy Birthday to Me given a solo blu.

BTW; When A Stranger Calls... Back! is the best film in the franchise, IMO. Its made-for-tv I believe but omfg is it a seriously awesome film. Very creep, disturbing, and suspensful. The DVD was one of my most treasured until it was lost.

EDIT:

Mill Creek DOES have the rights to the remake of When A Stranger Calls (but not When A Stranger Calls... Back!, they also have Messenger 2 (the 1st was released as part of a Double Feature with Freedom Land of all things?), and I'm fairly sure they also have Vacancy 2. We know they own Ernest Scared Stupid as well.

So, yeah, a lot of this is just poor pairing on Mill Creek's part.
