On the back of the cover it says "and more!". There's speculation there's no deleted scenes. I know there's a lot of people who would love to see Takaradas scene. Is there deleted scenes on this release?

I'm not buying it on release day if there are deleted scenes out there and they're not on the disc. Either I'll wait for a release that has those scenes or I'll wait until this is significantly discounted.

I would think that the Japanese BD release is coming from Toho and not Warner, yes?

If so, perhaps their will be different English language extras on their edition?

Something to watch for, I should think.

lol

2-3 years?

Don't you mean in 6 months? Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing were to come packed with a coupon for $5 off the Ultimate Edition.

That is correct.

Those so called Deleted Scenes are nothing of the sort, they are shots contained within the 'Godzilla: Force of Nature' Featurette and are short sequences lasting seconds showing how they built the images up from pre-vis to finished shots, notice the MPC lettering on the second shot and the two spheres on the last shot, those spheres demonstrate the different lighting styles as the Godzilla model is spun.

I'm sure you'll change your mind when you watch it in full. Yeah it's not the strongest of 3D titles out there but it's still very decent in 3D i thought.

Yes, it does. It's pointless to watch the 3D according to the people who made it.

MetalPak = FuturePak, so yes, it's the same thing.

Source? Some of the best 3D is post-converted.

Quote:
Seamus McGarvey served as the film's cinematographer, shooting the film digitally using Arri Alexa cameras with Panavision C-Series anamorphic lenses. Sequences of the film set in the year 1954 were shot using vintage lenses from the early 1960s in order to give the film a "distant period feel." This effect was enhanced though the digital intermediate's colour grading, as McGarvey noted that the "look I wanted was a peeled look with muted colors and diffusion on the highlights, a sense of period distance. I found a lot of photographs and magazines, and I knew that I wanted the blacks to be imbued with a tint of magenta."[109] Though the film was made to be released in 3D, it will receive a predominantly 2D release. McGarvey himself decided to shoot the film as if it were only 2D, because he dislikes working with 3D filming equipment and the experience of watching 3D films in theatres.

Yes, but the DP is against the use of 3D in the first place.

I guess we'll see what reviews say.

I see most releases in 3D IMAX. The only concern I have is if the image is too dark.

Hmm. I see he was the DP for Avengers. I thought that movie was too dark for 3D. I couldn't see crap in the beginning.

Just don't write off post converted films. Pacific Rim was post converted and Guillermo del Toro loved it.

I personally have nothing against it. I enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D. However, in this instance, the DP is against 3D, period.
