Every steelbook goes OOP before they are available to ship to us consumers.

I think Universal must have been reducing the edition size for their UK steelbooks which is unknown to us consumers to stop stock sitting on the shelf and having to be discounted. Look previously at titles like Jaws and ET which were around for ages and heavily discounted to shift stock.

Thinking back to the Universal steelbook releases late last year pretty much all the online retailers had sold out of their stock before release date, with Kick-Ass 2 selling faster than World's End. For those in the UK, then HMV in store did have a few copies at release.

now just have to get my hands on the first one....for those that have the first one in SB form, which do you think matches the best? I'm debating between the canadian vs zavvi, but canadian seems to be the nicer paired up

I'm not sure about the prices of other steelbook versions, but wowhd.co.uk have this for £22.04.

I recently had a problem with them over the 5th Element steelbook: it arrived damaged and it took a while for them to get back to me regarding the damage in the pics I sent them via email.

They sent a replacement out which arrived in a jiffy bag, but with the steel wrapped in cardboard.

I remember WOW being extremely difficult to deal with in the past and have steered away from them altogether.

Also, this British edition lacks embossing that the German version has, am I right?

In any case: does anyone have a copy for sale? Even used.

That's the main problem with cdwow: promise much but don't always deliver. Took me ages to get a refund for a damaged Fifth Element steel! Haven't visited their site for ages.
