Isn't 4k overkill for a small size screen like 80"? I have a 60" plasma and blu ray looks pretty stunning at that size sitting 6 ft away. 4k seems to be aimed at those fans who build huge theaters in their homes. I don't think whatever upgrade is noticed on a 60-100" screen is worth it. At least not to me. I love some of the fantastic home theaters members here have designed and built. I'm sure 4k would suit an actual movie theatre size screen....but at home where space is limited? I don't think 4k is going to go anywhere. It's been difficult enough trying to convince people that Blu ray was vastly superiors to DVD.

4k will have to be around for a long while before any of is will see any studio output.
