I will admit that I was one of those people that bought a HTIB for bluray use. I did not know that they were not of great quality. I have never been into the audio portion before but after reading all the stuff here decided to upgrade. I thought I did h0omework but I guess, just like in high school, slacked off on it. Driver king and a few others helped me out in my situation, which was yesterday. I got a yamaha HTIB for a good deal. I thought that because it had an HDMI input/output I was set. i was so wrong. I went back today and piced up the yamaha vr 663, or something like that, I know the number is 663. I also had to go cheap on the speakers so I picked up some yamaha 5.1 on sale for about 100, down from 300. I hooked it up and WOW. I cant imagine how much better it will sound when I can afford better speakers. Alot of people said the receiver would make the difference jut to start off.

I guess my point is that alot of people do not know that they are not that great and they get pulled into this deception that the packages are better. About 9 out of 10 included a DVD player. One included a Blu ray player(samsung I think) Man, I love this receiver.
