Jeez, I wonder how many people I know who are banned - too many, heck, even I've been suspended for a week. Coming back after your ban is over is ok under a new name, say, those month-long ones. Those permanently banned are done for unless they are sneaky and can circumvent Blu-ray.com's security features, fierce moderators, and username: Aaron.

As long as they can behave it's no problem, but if they have previously created 5 accounts and were unable to behave on any of them, then the chances of getting banned a 6th time is pretty high....

To be a bit more clear, after a time the non-habitual offenders may be allowed to petition to be allowed to start a new account.

I thought there were laws against going around a ban.

I know once I posted on a Marine Forum (Marines only) and a poser came along, was banned twice, and then was tracked down my local LEO's and warned for tresspassing. He was well known, though, so maybe that was easier. He stopped.

Maybe it was just cause Marines are jerks.

I am sure there are cyber laws against harassment via a forum but most LEO have better crimes to fight rather than an incredi-poser

Oh yeah, with all the rampent tom-foolery on teh interwebs, of course.

Another PD in the county was run by a forum member, and that's how that went down.
