I highly doubt it will be 10 years of this iteration of the game. There will be a sequel (or sequels), or at least very in depth expansions which ultimately include this base game as well.

That event is hard due to the respawn rules. You really need to work together and have someone taking out all the Knights and Wizards that spawn on the upper areas.

I 1st attempted the event on Friday night a few randoms, then jumped in another blu-ray.com person game that had an open spot and we never succeeded. The best I did was to get him down around 30%ish right when the last massive spawn of Wizards happens, and that was with the other blu-ray.com member.

However, Jam, Nremdn, and I were able to beat it on Saturday without too much an issue. I think we died 2 on it (once around 40% health left and once around 20% of his health left) before getting him. It helped a lot to have the entire group above level 22 and everyone communicating their needs.

I'm on X1, but this should work for you too (cut-and-pasted from X1 forum):
Quote:
BTW, easy guaranteed way to beat Phogoth: Have all three of your fireteam stay in the room where you first start. Shoot at him through the door and take out any enemies that bunch up in the door. It's good to save your grenades and supers to make that door a choke point for the other enemies. Occasionally, a shrieker will appear in that room behind you (you'll hear it and see a red circle on the mini-map). When it does, turn around and run back through the door behind you and go to either side of the doorway. Wait until the shrieker disappears off the mini-map (it will take most enemies that follow through the doorway with it when it teleports), then run back and continue shooting Phogoth. Don't waste ammo shooting the shrieker... He just respawns. You should kill enough enemies in the doorway to get enough ammo drops to finish Phogoth off without ever leaving that room, but I would take a couple of ammo packs with you just in case. This method takes a while, but you can do it without ever dying.

I hate that perk. It's honestly completely ridiculous and ridiculously overpowered as you clearly demonstrate in the picture above.

The worst is when you have people alternate with their "bubbles" effectively making it impossible to get that point.

No more op than the other supers, looking at you Hunters lol. Pretty much the weakest one offensively for PvP, but a life saver in pve.

Wanna play tonight? You guys all bailed and did your fancy high level stuff yesterday lol

I am stuck at level 21, but had a blast in the Crucible as usual.

So far, I have no legendary stuff yet either, I did join a faction to try and get guaranteed legendary gear.

Blame Adam for taking a break and killing the momentum!! I'm 40 points shy of my weekly crucible marks so I might have to put a few hours tonight. After I do my Heroic Daily and maybe try Nightfall again.

I love this article about Destiny. It pretty much sums up my feelings about the game.

My favorite quote... "Nothing makes sense, nothing has weight, and Venus has forests. Who cares? Shoot shit." LOL!

Rented this from redbox for the ps3. Don't have the money to buy it, but I've really wanted to play it. I'll pick it up in a few weeks on the ps4

Finally got a Legendary and it actually came as a reward from the Cryptarch! It jumped me up from Level 22 to 24.

Actually scored 4 kills the other day, best I ever did was 8 but that was using a nova bomb a couple of times. But everybody except the top two got rewards:

Finally reached level 24 today. It seemed like I was on level 22 forever. I only have one piece of legendary gear though, which I bought and now need at least 30 more marks to be able to buy another piece. The one purple card I got (I think it was a reward), ended up being turned into a rare. Figures. Anyway, I've definitely been playing way too much. Too bad my skill-level doesn't reflect that. Also, my thumbs and wrists are killing me so I guess I need to take more breaks when playing.

Just got my first piece of legendary gear today as well. It's a pair of dustwalker boots and I got them from an engram I decoded. I dont even know how people have enough marks or coins to buy things. I feel like I play alot and can't buy anything. I've had a legendary rocket launcher for a while thats pretty good but it doesn't affect my level. It has clusters but doesn't home in on targets

Is there a "fast way" to get Crucible Marks? Or is it really just a handful per match, more with a win, grind them out?

not really, make sure you have Crucible bounties active when doing matches

I was playing on Old Russia last night, hanging out by the loot cave while I worked on Patrol missions. All of a sudden, it was an all-out war between The Fallen and The Hive, with us humans stuck in the middle. Hordes of enemies were spawning in the cave while The Fallen were coming from all other directions. It was mayhem. At first, it was me and one other Guardian. Soon there were about 8 of us just spraying bullets everywhere. Tons of fun. I don't know how it triggered, if it was a timed event or what.

Do the bounties give marks?

Seems like it's a bad idea to try and do PvP before being level 20.

it is not a scheduled/timed event but it is crazy when it happens watching all hell break loose

why? ... you should be able to compete in the Crucible well before being a level 20 unless PvP isn't your strong suit
