Obviously, a PRESS RELEASE of some sort was generated (at some point) announcing the August 19 DVD & Blu-ray release date for 'Chef'. I say obviously because that information is in news articles here:
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=14463 and here: http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...r-bluray/16468 But now some sites are showing "sometime in September" and Amazon has dropped the date altogether. I'm VERY bummed because I was VERY much looking forward to sharing this wonderful movie in the Booth Bijou Garage Theater. We planned to pair it with 'Ratatouille' and had already announced the date for the movie night. It looks like August 19 might be dead in the water and I'm ![]() Mark |

By the way, Future Shop Canada shows 09/16/2014, though I think another distributor handles it up north. http://www.futureshop.ca/en-ca/produ.../m2213078.aspx Last edited by jscoggins; 07-29-2014 at 01:35 AM. |

I saw this a while back, a month or two ago? I forget exactly. I thought it was a wonderful little film, something straight out of an age of film decades ago. No convoluted twists, nothing insane or wacky, just a nice little story with a sweet feel throughout. I don't want to watch a movie like that every single time I go to cinema, but it was certainly a nice change of pace.

Heard Favreau talk about this film on Dennis Miller's radio show a while back and it sounds like he really had a great time doing an indie film again. Miller only gave him a small segment to plug the movie, but hearing Favreau describe the process was priceless and only wished he could have gone into more detail. This is on my list of upcoming BDs I'll be purchasing.
